A Postage Stamp!!

My son came home from school with this little riddle and ever since I've been wanting to try a swap like this.

For this swap, you will create ONE postcard for TWO people of a postage stamp. That means you will create TWO postcards, one for each partner.

You can use any of these techniques:

  • Collage
  • Colored Pencils
  • Crayons
  • Markers
  • Pencils

Basically, anything EXCEPT stickers and photos. The idea behind the swap is to get your creative juices flowing using good a old fashioned imagination.

The postcard must be made of a heavy cardstock or other durable material to make it safely through the hands of the Postal Trolls.

These do not need to be "works of art," just do your best and everything will be fine!! The point is to relax and have fun.

Be Creative! Think outside the Box!! Don't be Offensive!!!

Newbies are welcome as we were all there once. Must have a decently filled out profile i.e. more than just your name, age and hometown.

Postage stamps are such a HUGE part of our Swapping Addiction so hopefully we'll all have a great time. If this swap goes well I'd like to do a series. Feedback is always welcome, just message me as I don't often check back to the original swap page.

HAVE FUN!!

Can we print out a digital art piece?

So is the idea to create our own postage stamp? Or to include used postage stamps in a postcard design?

Oh wait, the deadline is today so I probably won't get an answer - but I do think it's kind of confusing as worded.

I'll echo kleedawn's confusion: when you say "ONE postcard for TWO people," do you mean we're supposed to craft a stamp design, and then copy it on a 2nd postcard? That could be hard to do if it's a collage, because often you only have one copy of any given collage element. It seems to me that if the 2nd postcard is supposed to be a copy of the original, we should be able to scan it and print it out as "digitall art." If you say that's not allowed, then it would meke more sense to make TWO (different) stamp-design postcards for TWO people. You see what I mean?

Sorry for the confusion, I've edited the wording.

You have 2 partners for which you will create 1 postcard for each partner. I.E. you create 2 different postcards, one for each partner.
