Woohoo! I'm excited for this swap. As you suggested, I'll set up the first half of the swap so we can get materials out to each other. We'll swap one substrate (a blank canvas, an old canvas you're no longer happy with, an unfinished canvas, blank board book pages, a cigar box, tin, whatever!) for the other person to begin altering. However, as you mentioned, the constraints of swap-bot aren't always needed when you have a good feeling your partner will still fulfill the requirements of the swap... SO, if you want we could also make it two substrates. Just let me know. We'll also swap the materials needed to alter it. At a minimum: 5 old book pages 5 pieces of specialty paper (vellum, paper lace, fibrous paper, that kind of thing) 10 images 10 pieces of ephemera one piece of fabric one piece of lace three pieces of ribbon 5 charms or embellishments of significant size/weight. The fun 3-D stuff that make you want to touch a piece of art (I'm trying to remember all the details of the original swap, so forgive me if this isn't the exact list). If there's anything else you want to add, let me know! This is just the minimum stuff, chances are you're gonna receive a heck of a lot more from me! :) Remember! If you want a certain theme played out on the substrate you send, then make sure to send the materials needed for it! Once we've both received our packages, we can set up a deadline for mailing out the competed piece. THE CHALLENGE!!! The bard and coco will ONLY use the materials sent to alter the substrates sent by each other! And as the fates would have it (and have already dictated), they will be incredibly happy with the finished results! :) |
