Toy Society Project Swap

I think that this is a fantastic idea! If I were skilled enough to make a toy, I'd do it. But I wanted to let you know that I love this idea and the whole leaving toys for kids to find thing! Good luck!

omigoodness! My daughetrs and I just checked out the toy society blog and love the idea! I'm worried I may not finish my toy in time to join the swap, but I just wanted to thank you for making people aware of this wonderful RAK society!:)

I have a question about the "the sender should supply the appropriate tag and note" - this swap is international, meaning the partner may need a tag and note in some other language than English, and possibly one she doesn't know. I know I would need a Latvian one - how many people ready to provide that?

Maybe you could put a translation on the reverse?

I took part in a swap-bot toy society swap before and it was so much fun. We all signed up with the toy society, made a toy and did the drop ourselves. We then provided a photo of the toy at the drop site and sent it with a note to our partners describing our choice of toy and if we witnessed it being found. These drops were also registered on the toy society web site so we could check back to see it there too. It was really so much fun, I'd love to do it again. I'll just wait for another one without the shipping of the toy being involved. Have fun with it though,......it was such a nice thing to do!

@pahasiga I didn't think of that, but I think the translation on the reverse would work beautifully. I am glad to see the great response.

I'll just ditto everything @LittleRed said, and add that this is such a fun, grassroots art movement in which to get involved!

@pahasiga , take a look at this pic on the Toy Society blog - the label is in both english & spanish. I don't know if they will supply labels in Latvian, but if the process is anything like BookCrossing, I'm sure it will be fine to make your own labels.

You see, times like this, I really wish I could sew - this is such a cool project/swap!

They can be knitted/crocheted, too. ;)

or any style, look at photos not all are perfect that's why I love the site. I can practice on the children. lol
