Description:
This is a simple and fast turnaround swap. This is a challenge! You will have one partner. You will make a list of things your partner has to find and collect, and that they can then use in an art journal page or spread. Be creative and crafty! The only rule is that the list has to be at list 12 items long. It can be longer, just be considerate. If you mail someone a list with a lot of items they have to acquire, they might get bored and be very uninspired. I also plan on having a group forum dedicated to this swap, so that we can post pictures of our journal pages after we have finished the scavenger hunt challenge. You can include things from my example list if you wish, but feel free to come up with your own! 1.) an envelope that has been previously mailed 2.)a footprint 3.) a puzzle piece 4.) something that was growing 5.) 5 things that are blue 6.)an overheard conversation/story 7.) something that was meaningful to someone else 8.) a large sticker 9.) an 8 letter word 10.) a popped/deflated balloon 11.) an arrow pointing left 12.) 3 labels off of your hygiene products You will rate once you receive your list, and it is up to you if you want to create a journal page or spread out of the items you are challenge to collect.

Wait, do we have to use everything? Because I don't use disposable hygiene products so I wouldn't be able to acquire that (without a really awkward conversation with a stranger).

@grimmlynn ... Ummm, toothpaste (box) and toothbrushes, soap, hand sanitizer, body wash, cotton balls, q-tips, mouthwash ... ALL are personal hygiene products. What is embarrassing about those? LOL! Think outside the panty-liner box!

Haha. Yes. Exactly. I was thinking of peeling the label off of my shampoo and conditioner bottles. I usually do that anyway. But... those are just examples! You don't have to go by that list. You would go by the list that your partner made up and mailed to you.

I don't fully understand how the send by date and rating would apply in this swap, as, if I am reading correctly, the person making the journal page keeps it. Or does the journal page have to be mailed when it is finished to the person who made the list of items?

No!!! You mail out a list of things for someone to find and gather. Something that will inspire them. They will rate you once they receive the list. If they are inspired, they can make a journal page out of the things they collect. They do not have to make a page, but the whole point is Scavenger Hunt Challenge. To see if you can break out of the norm, and just throw it together, and have fun hunting.
