I've made a couple of quilted potholders for Christmas presents and thought hmmmm ........ what a great Swap idea!! So, you will be making one potholder to send to one partner. It doesn't have to be quilted - but make sure they will be able to use it and not burn themselves!!! Please make it something lovely, that you would like to receive yourself. I'm allowing heaps of time so you can make it something your partner would like - please make sure you have well filled out profiles so your partner knows what you like!! It is an international swap as postage shouldn't be a killer for a potholder. I will be checking profiles so please do not join if you do not intend to send!!!

Can this be a pot holder or oven mit? To me, those are 2 different things. I just wanted to clarify before signing up. :)

Sorry, I guess I should have made that clear in the description. It can be either - anything that can be used to hold a pot :-).

OOh, I finished my pot holder! I crocheted it, and my seven year old son said the funniest thing as I was working on it. He asked me "How is that going to hold dirt?" LOL! He didn't know what a pot holder was! I should be mailing it this week! Liz

Just a quick newbie question: What is that gallery slide show link supposed to do? Is there a way to post pictures of what you get and what you send?

Sorry Liz, I'm not sure - I've never checked it out. I do seem to remember reading that if you put a swap bot tog on pics in your flickr album they show up, but again, that's all I know. Congrats on finishing. lol at your 7 yr old, even when teenagers they come out with the funniest things!
