Book Swap - Beloved and Annotated

For this swap you will send your partner a copy of a book that you completely and absolutely adore. The book can be fiction, non-fiction, poetry -- any genre or style as long as you love it. Additionally, the book can be new or used, but it must be in readable condition with the cover and all pages intact.

Here's where things get interesting -- before you send the book to your partner, you must write inside of it. Include a minimum of ten notes written on the pages of the book. Do you love a certain scene or character? Mention it. Do you have a favorite line? Write why. Would you like to call the villain a few choice words? Write them in!

Feel free to be as verbose and artistic as you want. You can highlight sections of the text, or even draw pictures in the page margins. However, be sure that your partner will be able to read the book.

If you're able to read your partner's profile and find a book that will match both your taste and theirs, go for it. However, it's more important to pick a book that is special to you and that you will truly be able to illuminate than it is to pick one that your partner is pre-disposed to.
