Time for a really fun swap!

You will send your partner at least 26 items, 1 to represent each letter of the alphabet, and it is to be themed to chocolate/candy!

eg. A=Apple candies, B=Black licorice, C=Cadbury . . . all the way down to Z! You have the option of sending 5 non-candy related items for those letters of the alphabet that you cannot find candy/chocolate for (X, Y, Z, Q?). There must be at least 21 related candy items. A bag of 20 candies, counts as 1. Please be checking your partners profiles for general likes/dislikes/allergies. But it is senders choice. There is no $ guidelines for this swap, please only send something you would be happy to receive.

I am giving you almost a month to find your candy related alphabet goodies, if you think its too much time, let me know.

Because this is a fairly big swap, all swap participants must have a well-filled out profiles and no recent 1's or 3's in the past 4 months, all 1's or 3's previously received must have a very good explanation. I reserve the right to ban anyone whom I choose for whatever reason I may deem, to protect those who are participating. Must have a minimum of 10 swaps, and 5 rated swaps. I will be checking profiles, so make sure your profile looks good!

Happy Swapping!

I'd love to join but with Christmas coming up i don't think i can afford it at this time. :-) Good luck though!

craftymomme08 11/ 5/2009 #

id love to join, but it's international and that'll cost a mint to ship.

crystalballs 11/ 5/2009 #

I did this last year and it was a blast but I got flaked on and it was a huge expense to get nothing in return but have fun everyone!!!!

Dibrittain 11/ 5/2009 #

Do this after xmas and I would join. and international can suck too cause I have ended up getting flaked on the first swap like this had to get it angeled in a angel swap. Second swap I ended up with some overseas candy. Looked like something you get in a variety pack. So you have to beware how you do these swaps.

babekha 11/ 5/2009 #

I'm leaving this international, because it is neat to international candy, but might change the requirements to weed out flakers.

crazyda79 11/ 5/2009 #

I loved this the first time around! I got international candies and found my most favorite candy of ALL time through that swap. Super fun!

crazyda79 11/ 5/2009 #

I forgot to add that I was more than able to find something for every single letter with no problems- U was tricky but I found something fun!

I also did this last year! IT was fun, but WAYYYYYY to expensive to do internationally. the weight is crazy to pay for!! I wouldnt do this around christmas either....

Now, sorry if me being a "newbie" is a problem for you, but it seems that the amount of people that you have participating in your Swap is pretty small. I'm not at all begging for you to reconsider your decision on changing the rules, but I honestly think its alittle unfair to change them AFTER someone has already joined, as I had began my collection already this afternoon, and was really looking forward to this particular swap. As I said in my message, I have been doing this for a long time, and a pen pal referred me to this site. Anyways, have fun I guess.

((and btw babekha, apologies for the message thats in your inbox, I was rather angry when I wrote it. Also, another thing, can you tell me what your definition of a "Flake" is? I technically know what it is, I just want to know everyone elses thoughts on it.))

babekha 11/ 6/2009 #

your message was replied to rayfancy :-)

Everyone else, if its too expensive, guess we'll have to have fun without you :-) I might host one after christmas at some point for all those of you who can't do it right now.

I'm watching this! I've been waiting for a swap like this, but I just did a chocolate bar advent calendar swap so I need to consider if I'll do another big candy/chocolate so soon after it, I don't want to put on weight. :o)

I did this kind of swap as a private swap when I was a newbie and it was so much fun! I found many new favorite candies and chocolates. :)

Ajinka 11/ 6/2009 #

Yes i got flaked on to maybe 6 months before...and the swap was really expensive and angel flaked on me to...so I'm don't want do this again so enjoy this swap:)

weeatcrayons 11/ 6/2009 #

Actually my point of view, it's better to have a smaller amount of people in your swap (less flaking) then a giant amount and have to keep up with all of those. Just because she hosts this one nwo doesn't mean she can't host another one later on, especially after the holidays too.

stacirose 11/ 9/2009 #

@weeatcrayons ..There are lots of swaps where I appreciate a small group of devoted swappers than a large group, too. Also, this was a REALLY fun swap, but I've actually been flaked on every candy swap I've joined (lol!), here so I'm not going to test the waters now. Maybe, next year when I can afford it better, too. I hope you do this swap again. :)

Agnetha 11/10/2009 #

Right now I'm watching it....but I think to join....I hope it still will be internationally because I live in Sweden.

Agnetha 11/16/2009 #

How big or small should each candy be? Just so that is clerified because I don't want to (If I join) send out big bags of candy and get small bags in return....you understand what I mean...
