UPDATE!!! I am adding another month to this, so that each partner will journal for 2 months in each journal. So rather than being due by February 28th, it will be due by March 28th. If you have any questions please let me know. I've wanted to create something like this for some time, I am obsessed with journaling and making new penal friends, so I thought it would be fun to combine the two. Here’s what the swap is: You will buy a journal, notebook, something of this nature, that is at lest 100 pages long. You can decorate it yourself if you want, but that isn’t necessary as some people aren’t very crafty (me being on of them) and I don’t want them to feel bad. What you will do is create a journal for one month. You will write entries about anything you want, it can be your personal day to day life, it can be journal prompts, it can be poems or creative writing stories, you can make art pages, whatever you want for one 30 day period, having at least 20 entries in that time frame. At the end of the month (I will put a time line towards the bottom of this description) You will send your journal to your partner, and your partner will do the same thing in the journal you created for one month. Meanwhile while your partner has your journal, you are going to have a journal that you received from someone else that you will be journaling in for a month, and then you will send that journal back to her for a month, and you will get your original journal back. This will continue on for the months of November, December, January, and February. In the end you should end up with your original journal back in your hands. Some of you maybe remember that I Was going to do a round robin swap of sorts, but decided this would probably have a better success rate than having several partners involved. I hope that I explained this clearly enough, please let me know if you have questions, you can send me a message or leave a comment here, I will check them often. Here is the Time line: One November 15th partners will be assigned; you can begin journaling in your journal on that day, and continue to do so until around December 15th. As close to the 15th as you can, send your journal on to your partner. So on for January, February and March. Try to keep the send date as close to the 15th as possible so that your partner can get a full 30 days to work on it. I would also love it if you could give status updates on your sends and receives here in the comments. Who can join? This is a pretty serious commitment, and your partner could really lose out if just one person flaked. It's really a team effort. So, I will limit it to people with a 4.9 or higher (as we all make mistakes and things come up I under stand having 1's and 3's, but if you do, please email me an explanation before joining) If you are a newbie and really REALLY want to be in this swap, please make sure you have a well filled out profile, and email me before joining so I can make sure you are really ready for this commitment. It is 4 months long! Entries don’t have to be daily, but regularly would be nice. Just email me and we will talk, I don’t want to have to ban anyone. OK, I hope you guys have allot of fun with this swap! The goal is to make new friends through sharing a part of your life with them, more than just a single letter. :) Remember email me or leave a comment with questions, I am happy to help! Also, I will angel if need be, but I hope to not have to. If your partner flakes, let me know ASAP and I will pick up where they left off. :) Oh one more thing, only USA because there is so much sending back and forth, costs could get out of control if we went international.
