Description:

Ribbon is an useful supply for a lot of different crafs. Let's swap some!

My idea is to send to 2 partners 1 meter (1m = 40In, 3.2Ft) of 3 different fabric ribbons. So, to each partner you'll send 3 pieces of 3 different ribbons that measure 1 meter each (1+1+1 x 2) . So, each swapper will get 6 different long pieces of ribbons!

Any fabric ribbon will do as long as it is in perfect conditions, patterned or not. Also, any color will do. Please don't be picky, not everyone has a lot of different ribbons to pour from, so be happy with what you'll recieve and make a good use of it!

It's going to be light to ship so I made this international.

No newbies for this round, sorry. If everything goes ok I'll maybe host another one newbie friendly. You must have a minimum rating of 4.9 to join and no unexplained 1s and 3s.

Any question? PM me or write a comment in the section below.

Have fun! :)

Um.....how much is 3 meters in inches, feet or yards?

babekha 10/15/2009 #

Thats like 9 feet of ribbon?

purplestar 10/15/2009 #

3m is 118.110 inches or 3 m = 9.84251 ' OR 9 ' and 10.11 " and 3 m = 3.28083 yd OR 3 yd and 0.84 '

I am confused over the length...(: Three meters is almost 10 ft of each ribbon. Do you mean a TOTAL of 3 meters? Thanks!

vintervila 10/15/2009 #

In my thoughts, 3 meters are for EACH kind of ribbon, so it will be a total of 9 meters of ribbons for each of the 2 partners (divided in 3 meters for each ribbon: 3+3+3 x 2 )...is it clear enough? (sorry, I am italian!)

3 meters is about 120 inches.

Do you all think it is too much? At the beginning I thought of 1,50 meters for each kind of ribbon, but then I took one of my ribbons, measured 1,50 meters and found it too short because I wanted everyone to have a real supply and not just a little one. Perhaps shall I edit the swap and decide for 2 meters? Would it be better? Let me know what you think about it. To me, it would be ok too.

For the moment you're the only ones watching this swap so I am going to ask you another question too: a good swapper has been unfairly rated and doesn't meet my swap requirements. May I low the rating to 4.8? Honestly I have been very good in coordinating my swaps and I am pretty sure that it will be ok this time too, plus, I want to trust this swapper. Let me know what you all think.

Who is the swapper?

bonbon 10/15/2009 #

too much, too long for me to join......

chilady61 10/15/2009 #

I agree way too much ribbon I think you should adjust the length and remember some countries dont do meters we in the usa do inches and feet . thanks .

vintervila 10/15/2009 #

Ok girls, I see that the biggest part of you have the feeling that 3 or 2 meters is too much, so I decided to cut the length to 1 meter (1m = 40In, 3.2Ft). Is it ok?

@Lavender72004 I prefer not to tell you the swapper's name in order not to risk her to be suspected to flake or not having the benefit of the doubt, but of course I will angel her swap if ever it will turn out I was wrong about her.

I love ribbon swaps, I love ribbons and love to to buy them and send to someone, I love having them from another country. I have it on my watch

bettflow09 10/17/2009 #

Thankyou @vintervila for the sweet message you posted on my profile:)) To me, 1 meter sounds much better:))) Thanks also for clarifying how much a meter is in measurements that us USA folks can understand, lol. We don't do meters here and I've been out of school too long to remember that stuff I was suppose to have learned...hehe!

I think I'm going to sign up, but leaving in watch for now until I get a few swaps cleared out:)

garneteve 10/18/2009 #

I'm watching this til closer to the time...one metre by 3 sounds very reasonable.

krismakes 10/25/2009 #

I'm a newbie so I hope you put this swap again again soon!!!! cheers

krismakes 10/27/2009 #

By the way how long is someone a newbie for? Ta.

yinlim 10/28/2009 #

Hi Vintervilla, so it's confirmed 1 meter of 3 different fabric ribbons, which to be send to 2 people, right?

vintervila 10/29/2009 #

@krismakes well, a newbie is a newbie when she didn't have any swap uder her belt yet! Sometimes they require you to have AT LEAST a ccertain number of swaps done and rated before joining.

@yinlim yes, that's the right rule! :)

vintervila 10/30/2009 #

Partners are assigned! Happy swapping :)
