Here it is, the international swap to promote the new group 'Another Time, Another Place'! You'll be interested in this swap (and the group if you: Love the ritual of Victorian afternoon tea? Enjoy reading a letter with beautiful penmanship? Adore dressing in Regency dresses? Desire to learn tatting? Wish to combine the historical with the modern? If you often wander through the past and wish to create and share with like minded people, this may be the group for you! All historically minded folks will be welcome here, from historically accurate SCAdians, Jane Austen fans, Regency Reenactors, Civil War buffs to the creative Steampunk! So let's keep this swap relatively easy. Please send to your two swap partners: 1. A hand written page of at least 5 of your favorite historical/ author/ fiction quotes (to practice our handwriting) and a short introduction of yourself and why you enjoy older things. 2. A small memento type gift like an embroidery pattern, an appropriate bookmark or something that reminds you of another time, another place. NO FOOD PRODUCTS please, (unless you contact your partnet to check) as countries participating in this swap may have restrictive customs laws. Newbies are welcome to join, but no 1's in the last 6 months. There will be no coordinator angelling in this swap unfortunately, as it is terribly impolite leave a your commitment to someone else. PM me if you have any questions. Thanks to Pavla for hosting the US version which you can find here. |
