Description:

I've truely fallen in love with swapping! The idea that someone I don't even know would take the time to think about ME, and put together a little package just lifts my spirits. So I decided to put together my own swap to yet again share this experience. So here's the details of my first ever swap!

To play you will need to sign up and make a comment in the discussion section below. Please tell us your favorite color(s) and favorite season {Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter.}

When you get your assigned partner, you will use this information along with their profile to send them a package of "Many Thoughtful Little Things!" You will have about a month to put together and send your packages, so please put some time and thought into them.

Your package must be in a 6 x 9 Bubble mailer envelope and contain the following:

  • 3 small handmade gifts = (Only one ATC please.) one that is shiny or sparkles, one that is soft and one that is their favorite color
  • 1 sheet, (or equivalent amount) of stickers
  • something that makes noise
  • something from nature
  • 2 small charms you think your partner would like.
  • a picture or flat piece of art that reminds you of your partner's favorite season (This should be 4 x 6 size and something they could put in a frame if they wanted.)
  • and finally a small note telling them about something that made you smile or lifted your spirits.

Limitations / rules of the game.

Everything must fit into the 6 x 9 mailer.

Everything must be wrapped in some way, so that it's as fun and interesting to open as possible.

You may not spend more than $10 (before mailing) on items or supplies, (No cheating! Besides it's the thoughts and time we put into it not the money we spend that counts.)

After you recieve your package sent a thank-you note through the mail within two weeks.

Sorry this one is U.S. only

You must have a rating of 4.5or higher, no no-sends, and at least one heart. If you're a newbie please e-mail me first. I will be checking the sign-up list once sign ups have ended and will drop anyone who either hasn't filled out a comment, or who doesn't meet these requirements.

And most of all HAVE FUN AND SHARE THE JOY OF SWAPPING!!!

Well Since I'm asking everyone to please comment I'd better start it off.

My favorite colors are emerald green and purple and my favorite season is spring.

Red has been my favorite color since I was a very little girl; there's just something magical about it for me! I love the summer best---I think it goes back to summer vacation as a kid--also as a Mom, I always loved it when the kids were out of school for the summer---I know, most Moms wouldn't agree!

First of all- I love this swap- great idea, and great job with the details wyld_ivy!!

My favorite color is blue, but really I love most colors, but don't incorporate much yellow or orange in my life. I also really love that pale sagey green that is finally becoming 'popular' again (i.e. you can actually find things in this color), eggplant, and black/white combinations.

My favorite season is Autumn. I live in the Midwest, and not only is this the only season I enjoy weather-wise, but I love that it is a season of transitions. In this context I love the natural oranges and reds and yellows and browns of the season.

I am a school teacher, and my favorite season is fall. I love the colors and the smells! My very favorite color is lemon yellow. I think this is my favorite swap yet! I can't wait to start!

I love winter everything about it. I am orginally from The northern part of Michigan where we got alot of snow. Now I am down in the heat of the south. No SNOW BOO HOO. Anyhow Love love love winter. My fav colors are purple and turquois (I think thats how its spelled) Looking forward to this. I love to make people smile.

Spring! Spring spring spring. Summer is too hot, winter is too cold and autumn usually brings a spell of cold rain with it thus knocking it out entirely. In terms of colours, I like greens and blues and shades of eggplant. I also like yellows, reds and pinks and oranges and every other colour there is. Go crazy, I will enjoy it.

This swap makes me really happy :)

My favorite color is red. I live in Hawaii and we don't really have seasons but I would love it if someone could make me something that has to do with winter (snow, snowflakes, icicles, sledding, etc.) I've never really experienced these things so I think it would be neat if someone "helped" me see what I've missed.

My favorite season is Spring, when everything is hopefully budding out and everyday is a little longer and lighter!

My favorite color is any shade of purple! My absolute least favorite color is yellow. Eechh...

I love pink! I like it with chocolate brown, white, and red.

Even though I teach and like being off in the summer, Autumn is my favorite season. I like the weather, decorations for the house, and that cozy feeling of throwing on a sweater and sipping cider.

Hi, I think my favorite color is pink and I love spring :-)

edlefevre 07/10/2007 #

My actual favorite color is green, with pink in a close second. The two together are even better! And my favorite season is fall- the gorgeous colors, the crunching leaves, the smells- apple cider, pumpkin and that cold smell that cold smell- anyone else know what I'm talking about when I say cold smells?

JabberwockyPrincess 07/14/2007 #

I love all colors. I tend to be drawn to oceany blues and/or pink when I'm picking out clothes. My favorite season(s) are Autumn for the same reasons mentioned--cider, pumpkins, leaves, etc.--and Winter: SKIING, snow, hot cocoa, fire places, scarves (scarfs?), peppermint sticks, sweaters, etc.

My favorite color--all of the above!!! I have soft beach type colors in the bathroom and living room, aqua-peach-pale sage green----but in the kitchen I have glossy lemon yellow and key lime green with Coke red clock and plates!!! The bedroom has hunter green curtains--the sewing room has pale blue!!! My favorite seasons are the two we do not have here in Alabama, Spring and Fall!!!! I grew up in Michigan where the seasons are "fixing to be winter" "winter" "fixing to not be winter" and "August" (the only place hotter is Hell). I love angels and fairies and have them all over the house and in the garden and by the goldfish pond. I have a passion for wee tiny things--and have collected alot the the little doll house things. I enjoy making little landscapes of fairy houses, etc!! I love being surprised!!

i love cream, browns, blacks - the colour of very old photographs and newspapers. the colour of age? it is something different from brown, unless maybe it isn't.

and spring. to combat the love of the aged and aging, everything is new, fresh, just born and shiny and green and warm to the touch.

I'm really curious regarding what everyone is selecting for the "makes noise" category! This is the one that's currently stumping me! Everything else is coming together well though. This has been a fun swap!

RudeNun 08/13/2007 #

If I was participating I'd think of those New Year's Eve toys or those colorful plastic toys kids used to play with all the time.
