Description:

IMAGINE A DAY IN PARIS SWAP

Have you ever been to Paris? Do you perhaps live in Paris, or anywhere in France? Do you dream of visiting Paris?

But maybe your finances, school, home and family obligations, work, or something else keeps you from realizing your dream of visiting this fine city.

Well, this swap is about going there in our imaginations, if we haven't been, or sharing what it was like if we have been.

You will send one partner these items:
  1. a letter
  2. a small souvenir/momento/keepsake, valued at a minimum of $6-8 USD, not including cost of shipping

First, you will write your partner a letter about the places you would visit, the things you would do, maybe meals you might eat, the hotel in which you would stay, who you would go with, who you might meet there.....You get the idea. Make it as real as you can. Make it past tense, as if you actually went, or make it future tense, as if you were planning the trip of your dreams.

Second, your letter will be accompanied by some sort of small souvenir/momento/keepsake of your real or imaginary trip to Paris.

Ideas for your souvenir/keepsake/momento might be something like:
  • some postcards and a scrapbook page about your trip (even if it's an imaginary trip)
  • a small necklace of the Eifel tower (or earrings if your partner wears earrings)
  • a menu from a French restaurant and a small package of French cookies
  • a small handmade pincushion or book cover perhaps made from Eifel Tower fabric
  • a small journal with a French cover
  • a map and travel book of Paris
  • a "passport" you create from your Trip to Paris, with a French phrasebook
  • a small French cookbook

THESE ARE JUST EXAMPLES OF POSSIBILITIES!

Make it nice. Make it special. Make it as real as you can (if it's an imaginary trip).

BE SURE AND SEE MY OTHER "IMAGINE A DAY IN ....." SWAPS!!!

By the way, the guidelines for signing up for the swap are very high. 4.85 rating or higher, with solid swapping experience. I make the call as I see it. No newbies.

This is a great idea for a series!

Thank you! Sort of had a brainstorm today, and I plan on hitting a lot more countries and cities before it's all done, if anyone signs up for them and we all have fun!!!!

Look forward to seeing what other countries / cities you host. :-) I'm watching all of these now and will join as the sign-up date gets closer.

I was hoping for more than just 3 of us to sign up, but I guess the results are the same--we each get one swap partner, even if there are only 3 of us!!
