Description:

Postage on this will be very cheap to send basically anywhere in the world, so I want to invite all our international friends to join in on this one:)))

I have been collecting 1.5" squares for quite awhile to make a future postage stamp quilt, but still have a long way to go getting enough:) I plan on hosting this swap for many months to come so that we all can get a good variety of squares for our quilts.

For this swap you will send 40 1.5" fabric squares to 2 partners for a total of 80 squares. Please only send 100% cotton fabric of good quality! No $1 a yd. flimsy see-through fabric. Send fabric that your partner will be glad to add to his/her quilt. You can send up to 2 squares alike that are the same print/design to each partner, but please no more than 2 that are alike. In other words, you will need atleast 20 different fabrics. The squares you send can me any prints, colors, stripes, plaids, novelty, etc. You can even send a few solids if you'd like, but let's limit the solids to no more than 10 different solid colors to each partner.

These tiny squares are a great way to use up some of those scraps you have laying around:)) Postage stamp squares are wonderful for making anything from a small 5" x 5" quiltie to a quilt large enough for your king-size bed:)) They are also great for making purses, totebags, fabric postcards or anything else you can think of:))

To participate in this swap you must have a rating of 4.8 with no recent unexplained 1 or 3 ratings. Newbies MUST have a well filled out profile. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners, so anyone that I don't feel good about will be banned from this swap.

Heaven forebid someone flakes on this swap, I will plan on angeling:) On the other hand I will do my best to keep flakers out so that this will be an enjoyable swap for all:)))

Watching for now, I'll join closer to the deadline. I LOVE the idea of a postage stamp quilt, it's going to take awhile to get the fabrics together, though. I did just finish a charm quilt for my sister that had 500 different fabrics in it, no doubles. It turned out so cute.

Ok I joined this lol and I'm in it for the duration. But what do ya'll make with these tiny tiny tiny squares lol. Can someone please give me some ideas besides sewing them together in squares for miniature doll house quilts???? I'd love ALL and ANY ideas.

Yeah, I guess since I started cutting these out last night, I'd better join the swap! How about pot holders for a use....they are smaller than quilts and much faster too. I'm gonna save my charms up to make my second postage stamp quilt. We must be crazy to cut fabric up into so many different sizes, especially 1 & 1/2 " pieces. Count me among the craziest!

Here's an idea for something else to make with these tiny squares:)) Haven't found a pattern yet for this pillow, but it would be easy to come up with our own pattern:)) Go to the following site and scroll down to see a pic of an Amish made postage stamp pillow. Really pretty:)))
