Description:
We all of craft supplies sitting around not getting used. Maybe its some scrapbooking items that are no longer needed, or rickrack, ribbon and other embellishing items waiting for inspiration. Well, pack up all those things, scraps of fabric included, and wait with anticipation as a box of full of new supplies arrives at your door. A different set of supplies is guaranteed to inspire creativity in all of us. This is senders choice and can include buttons, thread, ribbon, stickers, fabric, crochet hooks, velcro, craft sticks, glue sticks, cellophane bags, glass rocks, craft paint, pipe cleaners, beads, lace, patterns, iron-ons, sequins, zippers, stamps, post cards, ... I think you get the idea. Create a box full of stuff someone would be excited to open. This swap is open to newbies with a filled out profile. Seasoned swappers need a 4.8 average rating to participate. Make sure your box is full, as we don't want to short someone of goodies.

Is it large sturdy ( like Fedex )envelope we are talkng about? or is it some kind of box? Please clarify sizes. I would like to join!!!

no envelopes, as they won't hold nearly as much goodies... $5 flat rate priority box IS the size. its 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" found at the post office for free. you ship it for the flat rate of $4.95 Hope that clarifies it for everyone.

The boxes she is talking about are approx the size of a VHS tape if I remember right :)

I'd love to join this swap. Is there a way that we can make it somewhat profile friendly. I'd hate to send fabric to a non sewer. Being that I don't knit or crochet, yarn would not be useful for me. Just curious if that's an option so we can send from our stash, but kind of ensure our partner that the items are useful to their "crafts" of tastes - if possible without buying, since that defeats the purpose of the swap.

This sounds like fun but I would like it if my profile was read! I would not really like fabric unless it was Gibson Girls. As far as craft sticks go I could fill two boxes by myself and have them left over!!! I will put this on watch

This sounds so fun! Personally I read all of my partners profiles for swaps so my partner has no worry about that. It is also good to read comments on the swaps.

I can use just about any kind of craft item ~ I sew ~ My daughter is learning to crochet ~ Niether of us can knit though! I can use just about anything listed but have no idea what craft sticks are! No need for velcro or zippers either! However there is always the gift of reswapping!!!!

I would hope that most swappers read they partner's profiles. While it is senders choice as to what goes in the box... I am sure sending something profile friendly would earn a heart.

Besides, as the point is to create new inspiration... craft items that you currently do not have, or have not thought to purchase or ask for aren't always a bad thing.

This is going to be my very first swap. I scanned all the swaps going on and this has the most wonderful element of surprise. It will be fun to receive something, but filling a box for someone else has me giddy with excitment. I'm such a craft dork. ^_^

I'm so excited for this. I have a tendency to buy the same product in pairs (rubber stamps and punches especially). I don't really have a use for craft sticks but will take anything else! I especially like patches, rick rack, and sequins. I'm a jewelry maker so I hope my partner doesn't mind a few beads (I won't fill up the box with just that, no worries). Fun!!!

what an exciting swap!!!! I am so happy I found this one. I turned a closet in our living room into a craft closet for me, b/c I have SO MUCH stuff!!!! lots of it has been sitting around not being used... b/c I saw it at the store and bought it w/o knowing what I was going to do with it... so this is PERFECT!!! I'm joining RIGHT AWAY!!!

~I also love swarovski crystals ~I collect patterns.... knitting & crochet... and have a 3 ring binder going and I love filling it with new patterns!!! ~I scrapbook now and then... so something in that area would be good too ~I make my own soap... so, anything there would be nice too ~I LOVE cows!! ~my favorite color is purple!!

I'm excited about this, because I have a lot of extra stuff I don't use, and I would LOVE new stuff to draw inspiration from... yay! I like pretty much anything crafty... really, anything.

This will be my very first swap too and it is such a perfect one! I just added things to my profile so that people would know what I like and love that we have that to narrow the playing field a little bit!! I am so excited to be a part of this and am really looking forward to creating a box of treasures for one of you!
