Bottle fill - US only

Just a note to pottential swappers (I will definately pass on this one, even though it sounds so fun!): The postal office sometimes gets ticked off by these strange mail packages- and if they dissapear, your partner will rate you a one- GET DELIVERY CONFIRMATION.... otherwise, you can end up sending, resending, and REsending... also: be aware that even IF you get delivery confirmation, the post office may discard the mail as improperly packaged, and you will not get a refund or insurance you may have placed on it. It happened to me TWICE. So I'm not just being a spoil sport here.

I seen that swap too! i missed out on it though, I think this is do-able if you maybe wrap it in paper as to not add too much weight and maybe put a strip of cardboard around the middle in a square fashion so it won't roll around. I once got a 3/4 in pvc pipe in the mail with the ends taped with a small poster inside nothing was said about it, just ask the P.O. would maybe be best. I'd like to do this one as soon as I send off my current swaps! my question about the swap is what size bottle and do you cut it or just send things that fit through the top?

Ohhhh also meant to add you can cut the bottle and then tape the label over where you cut OR fit it in through the top.

Clayshaper, You can put it in a box if you would like to join and don't want to label the bottle.

Susan, That's a good question. You can use any bottle I would guess. And like I said if you are worried please feel free to box it!

I think I will use a plastic soda bottle and ust put in a box or large envie if that's okay.

I have hosted 3 "unusual mail swaps on swap bot, and so far I have not had any problem. I have sent two boxed calendars, and a small photo album, and have recieved a vinyl cylindrical pencil case, a pkg of small note pads, and this last time, a jump rope. As long as it can make it thru the mail, and has a clear address and return address on it, it should go thru!

PS: AlwaysJoy, I sent you a msg a while ago about a different matter, did you recieve it... it was concerning a private swap we were going to do. Please let me know! thanks,

awww man! Wish I knew that before I rushed at the last minute! I stayed up all night to make make my bottle lol..I am exhausted..now I see I still had a few more days :)
