Description:

This swap is for those nifty Gift in a Jars you see everywhere. Lets share some of these recipes for recipes in a jar. Please send a tried and true recipe.

This swap is open to Family Chef Members in good standing. Please no unexplained ones or any threes in the past 4 months.

If you have allergies, please list them below.

You will send 2 recipes to 2 partners (equaling 4 recipes total). You are only sending the recipes, not the jars!!

Send your recipes on 3"X5" or 4"X6" recipe cards. Some people have preferences and those can be listed below. Check these preferences out before sending, but keep in mind this is senders choice when you boil it down.

UPDATE! * @Alaindrea has offered a give away for this swap! I will pick a name out of a hat once I assign partners (I will omit myself to make it fair). The name I pick will receive a Gifts in a Jar Cookbook from @Alaindrea She is allergic to many of the common ingredients used for these gifts so she cannot participate. I think it is great she is offering this! Please thank her if you are the one to receive the gift!

**cbpoole has won the drawing for the gift!

@TexyDeb One hint might be to substitute powdered milk or eggs?

I love these and do them all the time for Christmas Gifts! It will be nice to have some new ones to add to my collection!

@Alaindrea ~ Would love to know where you got the cookbook from! That's very kind of you!

I think some of you may be confused....I am going to try to update the swap guidelines to make it more clear....

Alaindrea 08/26/2009 #

@justmeth81 I think I bought it at a book sale a few years ago before I realized that I had allergies. I've had to give away quite a few of my cookbooks... :(
