Sock Doggie Swap

O.k. so I cannot sew to save my life. But I cannot resist a challenge and that sock doggie is the CUTEST thing I have ever seen. I am printing the directions and am going to see if I can attempt to make one.

I do not want to lose points for a deformed doggie!

Thank you for signing up.I promise it is easier then you think.I made one and after the first one they are really easy.It just takes a little practice and patience.Also i use crochet thread rather then regular thread which works a lot better.Let me know if you need any help i am always around.

The cat themed one as well as this one will be international.I sent my sock monkey and it only cost about $3.50 air with the new rates.They are super light to send .If you join both swaps you will have a collection.I plan to do a mouse and a bunny one as well.

I adore sock dogs and cats. There's a gal on Etsy that makes the cutest ones and I always drool over them. But I had no idea how to even begin to try tomake my own. Those instructions look pretty easy, and not too time consuming, so I'm going to give it a try. (My dog can have my first practice attempt.... ;D )

I made mine in one evening.They are tons of fun and thanks for joining us.

I have started to make my doggie. The instructions for the front legs have me bewildered. I like to use visual aids when crafting anf the picture isn't so great and I am struggling to give my doggie her front legs. I cannot have a 2 legged dog! :) Any suggestions?

Other than that, my two legged dog is quite adorable and so far and this has been no problem to assemble. Hopefully my partner will not mind my sewing skills, although for a beginner I think I have done a stellar job!

Thanks for the link. I went to it and it only goes up to step #6. I am already at that point and am having trouble beyond step #6. The front legs, ears, etc...Any chance you have the link for the steps after #6??? Thanks!!!

Little sock doggie from La Grande is on it's way to squintgrad! Sorry to be a day late...no mail service on Sunday and I didn't get done with the finishing touches until yesterday. But it should be there soon via Priority Mail. :D
