I was working on a collage for my mom using Ephemera form her Big Ol' Box of Ephemera. She has been collecting things for collage, altered books and scrapbooks several years and has quite a large collection. Everything from old playing cards to CD cover inserts to keys from old apartments to words and pictures from old magazines. As I was working I was struck with an idea for a swap. For this swap, you will send your partner an envelope full of Ephemera, enough to make 3-5 large ATCs (think 4in x 6in) or 1 large peice (8in x 10in). When you receive your envelope, save the address of the sendee because after you make your cards you will send the finished peices back to the person who sent your the Ephemera. Because of the nature of this swap,You must have a filled out profile, so the artist knows what kinds of things you will like. Also I will make the timeframe fairly long, like a month and a half, so that you can send a nice collection of stuff and so the artist also has plently of time to make something really creative and worth displaying. So here's the Bottom Line: Enough Ephemera to make 3-5 nice large ATC 4x6in or 1 really nice large peice at least 8x10in. You can send whatever you like, this is an open theme. This is also an international swap, so keep in mind weight and postage. Try not to send like a whole box of skeleton keys to a person in Austraila. As cool as that can be, postage can be murder with something that heavy. Newbies welcome, but must have a filled out profile Because you will only have one partner: Ratings less than 4 must message me and tell me you will do better or you will be banned More than 3 no sends will be banned, unless you message me and explain why you didn't send something. Have fun with this. |
