What's Your One Little Word

I love the idea of 'One Little Word' developed by Ali Edwards.

One Little Word

Many people choose one little word to guide their year but sometimes I find it hard to decide what that word will be and often have two or three in mind until I find the one that fits.

Instead of committing to a single word and hoping it behaves, you will choose three possible “One Little Words” for 2026 and send them to your swap partner, along with a short explanation of why each one might fit.

Your partner will then read your letter and decide which word “wins”. They can choose one… combine them… or reject them. There's no need to send a letter to reply to your partners and tell them or choice but it might be nice to let them know if you chose one when you rate the swap, or to email them, or to write a letter, that's all up to the individuals and rating is only for receiving a letter with three ideas for 'One Little Word' for 2026.

This is a swap about intention rather than goals, direction rather than pressure, and allowing space for a year to unfold naturally.
