Description: | |
This is an August themed Swap. This is a swap that will run for 12 months, from November 2008 to December 2009. Each month will have a theme based around the holidays in the month (or what inspires you for that month i.e. sandals for June), and you can create any style block you wish but it must be an "image" of something and it must pertain to the theme and measures 12 x 12 inches (with an extra 1/4 around all 4 sides = 12.5 x 12.5 inches) when finished. Examples might be a shamrock for March, a rabbit for April, a spring flower for May, etc. There are some fun patterns out there. Special Note: You are not using a patterned fabric, but instead making a quilt block pattern (Or using one from a book or the internet). For example, for March, you wouldn't use a patterned fabric of four leaf clovers, but actually make the clover from fabric for your block. The idea here is to make an entire quilt of for each month of the year. Therefore it should be evident which month pertains to each block. Contact your partner to see if they might like something special and to note likes/dislikes. The idea is that with 12 blocks, you will be able to make a "seasonal" or "holiday" quilt. For hearts, send something you know they will like from reading their profile. I know that $$ is short so sending extras is not necessary. Questions? Please message me rather than placing questions in the comments section. I work two jobs back to back and rarely have time to check the comments. This is international. Please use 100% cotton fabrics. The image on this swap is only an example of an July themed pattern, you can do this pattern if you wish, or you can choose any other pattern that is a July theme. Newbies welcome but only with a Full Profile. |
