Description:

hello! this is a photo scavnger that you can use a digital camera or a disposable camera!

here's the deal: you must take 12 pictures of animals that live around you for two parnters. please post yout thoughts) the photos of the animals should be ones of your pets, birds, squirrels, a bear if you go camping.lol. please don't go to the zoo and take a picture of each animal. one or two are allowed but most of the animals should be ones you just pass by. there should be one picture for each animal. like one picture for each of your pets or animals you see.he animals should look differnt so don't take 12 pictures of 12 difffernt squirells. please print out your photos at a kodak printer station. not on your home computer.. so they look like real photographs without printer lines.

I'm putting the start date near the end of the summer and the send date rather close to it. you do not have to wait 'til then to start. PLEASE START TAKING PICTURES NOW to ensure you have enough pictures since this swap doesn't not depend on your partner's profile.

this will be a us only swap. due to the raised mail prices. people with a 4.3 and above can participate. the should be little no sends. if you have ANY recent nosends or seem to be really really busy at the moment. we will be in contact. newbies also welcome! we shall chat too. as long as i hear a reply by the start date with some info on past swaps. i can let you join.

That would be hard

kittenmeowmeow 05/ 7/2007 #

frankcheez, what will be hard? 24 pictures?

My printer prints professional pictures, you'd be really hard pressed to tell the difference and i have been a professional photographer. Is it really necessary to have them printed? I know it's supposed to be cheaper to do that, but the less i have to run around the better for me. Also, my preference would be to do 12 for two partners rather than 24 for one. Dianne

Twelve pictures to two partners would be more interesting and fun to receive in the mail. It can be hard for some city dwellers to take pics of 24 different animals unless you want a bunch of dogs!

Crystal 05/ 7/2007 #

Do they have to be 12 different types of animals? For example could you have 2 different pictures of 2 different breeds of dogs, or 3 different types of cats sent? Thanks!

I would definitely go for 12 pics to 2 partners. I'm going to have to think on this some...hmmm. We're in a very rural area but the animals I pass by would be: cat, dog, squirrel, bird. If I were to seek out animals I could add: cow, horse, deer, elk, duck or goose ... that sums up the animals that I could capture within say 10-20 miles of my home. Would a robin, chicken, duck and goose all count as birds or would they be counted as four? Sorry for my confusion, this does look interesting, though.

okay, i'm changing it to 12 picture with 2 partners. i thought that would be better too.
belle- yes you may use your printer if it prints like regular printers. i just didn't want printerlines and all that junk or printed on 9x11 computer paper. they should look like real photographs. that's all.
Crystal- yes you can have 2 differnt dogs. i used teh squirel as an example 'cause they all look the same. now if you see 2 squrriels that look differently, you can take a pciture of them too.
ddmaree- yes the birds would be counted as four since they all look differnt. you're free to seek out animals and anything. i live in the city so most of mine will be dogs and cats i see. farm animals are okay. since they are "native" to your area i'm going to try my luck at a petting zoo for example.

I came across a robin's nest with babies today! Dianne

kittenmeowmeow 05/13/2007 #

how cute belle! i've got three animals already!

Hannah 05/14/2007 #

This should be really fun! Do the photos have to be a certain size? I know my digital camera shoots at 4 inches by five and a half inches (not the usual 4x6).

kittenmeowmeow 05/18/2007 #

no it does not. as long as the come out as photographs everything is okay!

unbelievable, my hubby borrowed my camera the other day when he took the kids fishing - and came home with a picture of a snapping turtle for me for this swap!
i have some diverse animals for sure.
reptiles to birds to alpacas. this has been very fun. i have been stalking a nearby farm as i saw a baby horse the other day - i also found a nearby farm with shetland ponies!

kittenmeowmeow 06/ 6/2007 #

that's so cool, belle, i already have 14 animals. most of mine are land creatures. i hope it's okay to have slightly blurry photos. i found a white squirrely and just had to get a picture of it before it ran away.. unluckly, the photo turned out a little bit blurry but you can still tell!

kittenmeowmeow 06/21/2007 #

i found some very baby birds that fell out of their nests! but when i uploaded the pictures on my computer.. they some how got deleted.. and now i'm without baby bird pictures. :( their mommy forgot about them and they died . which was really really sad. so i couldn't take more pictures. :(
