Description:

Hello! This swap is for lovers of all things made of paper, my hopes is it will help you destash somethings in your collection while getting new things.

I am trying a little experiment. Most swaps are send x thing receive x thing but what if you want to send something but don't want to receive that thing back? Like, I have tons of used postage stamps, it's nice to receive different ones but I have soo many duplicates right now. I'd rather send them out and get something else back, like maybe washi samples? I am calling it a "barter" swap because it's the best word I can think of for trade of different things. If this works out, i'll make it an ongoing thing.

Please follow the rules carefully, I will exclude from this and/or future swaps of this type if you do not.

I listed this as type 3 as it feels a little more involved than just putting things in an envelope

instructions/rules:

  1. when you sign up, make a comment below. In your comments you must create two lists. What you don’t want more of (what you would ideally like to destash) and what you want in return. (i'll go first to give an example). Try to keep most items specifc-ish (ex. washi samples, postage stamps etc) but you can also add themes (ex. space, animals, witchy stuff, specific colours etc). Like maybe generally you don't want more stickers, but you will take them if they are of your favorite theme.

  2. All items must be relatively flat and fit in an envelope.

  3. You must list a MINIMUM of 10 things on your “what I would like” list. And a Maximun of 10 things on your “ I don’t been more” list. This is so I can have an idea that you can be flexible on what you are willing to receive. I want to try and help people mix up their stash but this also needs to be fun and not stressful for senders. If it seems like you are too specifc/limited in either what you can send or what you're willing to receive, I will message you to see if we can create more wiggle room for your partners (who you send to and who you receive from) if I don't get a response and/or you haven't changed your list(s) before the sign-up date, I will remove you from the swap.

  4. Once partners are matched, look for the comment of the person you are sending to and make them up an envelope based on their "wish to receive" list. DO NOT send them things from their "I don’t need more of" unless it overlaps with a theme they listed in what they want to receive . Example. They say I “I don’t need more of” but also List "would like to receive cat themed items" don't send them stickers unless they are specifically cat themed

  5. also look at their profile and don't send anything listed in their dislike list (if they have one)

  6. Envelope must be filled to 30g (or whatever is standard rate for your country based on where it's going) if you want to send more that's a-okay but make sure your postage is correct and your partner doesnt have to pay upon receipt.

  7. As stated above, I will be kind of picky about who I let into this one. You must have completed at least 15 type three swaps; not have any 1s or 3s in the last 12 months and have a decently filled out profile. if you do no qualify but want to participate, please please, please send me a PM and I will do I private swap with you. I love helping newbies get ratings and to help people get their scores back on track!

  8. Be fair when rating someone. If they send you an envelope of things and it seems like they really tried their best to send you what you wanted even if there's a couple thing you don't care for, give them a 5. Hearts are at your discretion ofcourse. If you get an envelope full of things that don't seem like they paid attention to your lists at all, that is worth a 3.

  9. I will angel if needed but hopefully with my pre-screening efforts, that won't be needed!

If anything is unclear or you have any concerns, send me a PM.

Have fun!
