Description:

Hi swappers!

Here's the swap for a one-signature junk journal for September. The journal you create should:

  • have some papers or embellishments reflecting the time of year

  • measure 5.5" wide by 8.5" tall (standard 8.5"x11" paper would work for this--just turn it sideways and fold)

  • have some type of cover reflecting the month (September)

  • binding of choice

  • have at least 8 UNFOLDED pages (more is fine) This means a stack of 8 entire 8.5"x11" pages, which will double the page count when folded.

You may use an assortment of papers for the journal you create--not all of them will have the same measurement; however, the cover should measure 5.5"x8.5". Please leave plenty of room for journaling. If most of your pages are not suitable for journaling, simply add some extra papers/tucks/etc. inside.

Send by date each month will allow you to have the journal from day 1 of the coming month. Even US mail seems to be moving at a snail's pace, so I'm listing earlier and send-by date will also be a bit earlier.

Hope to see you in the swap!

I hope flowers are a summer theme! I am making a floral book.

Is a 9x12 envelope (folded in half) acceptable for the cover. This allows the 8.5x11 sheets not having to be trimmed down to fit in an actual 8.5x11 card stock cover. When the sheets are folded, they fan out a bit, thus sticking out beyond the 8.5x11 cover sheet. If anyone does not like that effect, they need to be trimmed so they don't stick out. Does that make sense? The 9x12 envelope also leaves you a pocket to stick stuff in for the month as you journal in it. Please advise. Thanks.
