International, 1 partner This idea is based on a swap suggestion from the forum (see, I do read them!) For this swap, get a new-to-you cookbook, read through it, and share your experiences with your partner. This doesn't have to be brand new, you can even find a new-to you cookbook from the library and read through the book. Choose at least one recipe to make from the cookbook and share the experience AND recipe with your partner. This is NOT profile based, so you are not required to send a recipe set to your partner's dietary needs (if that's posted on the profile). You are more than welcome to ask your partner or check their profile to find a good fit, but you are not required to do this. After you've read through the cookbook, and chosen a recipe and given it a try, write your partner a letter talking about:
And, send a copy of the recipe you tried to your partner. If you try a few, you can send copies of whichever ones you try out and your experiences with those recipes. Recipe copy is sender's choice - you can hand write it (as long as it's neat and clear), type it, send a full sheet or card, take a photo copy - it's up to you. You can be creative here if you'd like. :) I'm giving you lots of lead time on this one, so you can find the book and try the recipes! Some cookbooks have more reading materials than others - this is really your choice. I've found that cookbooks tend to have all sorts of information in them - the Betty Crocker cookbook my mom got as a graduation gift in 1959 can teach me how to set a formal dining table! There's a lot of variety out there, have fun with this! Questions? Comments? Please send a PM!! I'll reply as soon as I can. :) And, if you are just watching for now, a comment below is helpful so I can see who is interested. :) |
