Let’s Draw!

Hello Friends ~ I spent a wonderful afternoon foraging in the woods just north of the Rose and Crown and was lucky enough to run into Old Mary. Of course all in this area (and probably throughout England) know what a treasure of information she is when it comes to foraging. She knows more about the properties and benefits of plants than any three other people I know. See what I mean HERE

I had just settled in to draw a mushroom (or toadstool, I still am not sure which) when she passed by and enlightened me on the many uses of the beautiful little button. I must say, the soup I later created was quite robust and delicious with the addition. Old Mary does recommend anyone unsure of their find to sketch their discovery and let her look at it before harvesting, just to be safe.
