Hey everyone! So this isn't necessarily a Star Trek-themed, swap, for anyone who got my pun in the title. Sorry if you're disappointed! You certainly CAN do a Star Trek zine for this swap. I ain't gonna stop ya. But! For this swap, you'll be sending two one-page minizines. If you're not familiar, click here for a quick blog post with instructions and a couple of examples. What I really love about zines is that they're made to be easily reproducible. However you make the original, you can either scan it into your computer and print off copies, or you might already have made it digitally and all you need to do is print. I would recommend you send out copies for this and/or other swaps, but hey, it's really up to you. As for theme, one zine can be whatever you want, and the other should somehow incorporate a quotation you like or that really resonates with you. It doesn't have to be the focal point or theme of the whole zine, either. It can just be a feature if you'd prefer. Two minizines should fit easily in an envelope and not be too heavy, so I'll leave this international. Please note you'll have two partners, so you'll be printing off 4 zines in total (they can be two identical sets or different). Try not to send someone a zine they've already gotten from you. Any other questions--send me a PM! I don't often see comments. If you're interested in creating a zine digitally but need a template, I can link you to my Canva one. Have fun and happy swapping! |
