I am fascinated by other people's lives and often bored by own, but I have found that when I slow down and notice the details I'm more engaged.

In this swap you will have 2 partners. You will send each partner a set of 7 photographs (Or more if you want) from a day in your life. These pictures should be from your perspective--not pictures of you per se (unless you want to be clever and take a pic of yourself brushing your teeth in the bathroom mirror). Other than that requirement--you can take pictures of whatever you want.

The important thing is you capture what you see, what you experience, or what you notice in a typical day. Pretend you are giving your partners a tour of your life for a day. Document it for them as best you can.

Along with your photos you will include a log of the pics you took: what time you took the photo, where you were, etc. Include thoughts, or further description if you like. If you want to include an artifact from your day--that would be great, too, but it isn't required.

Typical swap stuff: This is an international swap--so cut folks a little slack on mail time. Those with ratings below a 4.5, or recent no-sends will be dropped. Newbies are allowed if you have a profile.

no size limit on the photos--it's whatever you want, however you choose to display them. (I am thinking of making a little book with mine, incorporating it with my pic log and text.)

Super excited about this site although I'll join the club of the extremely boring life. I'm a super new newbie but have a profile so think I'm fine to run. :) I'm already planning out how I plan to lay this one out.

oh this one sounds so good. I love looking at the backgrounds of peoples photos to see how they live. What's on their countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, if they make their bed, do they leave clutter on the coffee table etc (ie are they just like me hahah) I can't wait to do this one....I'd love to have to swap with someone outside my own country and be able to show them a day in the life from getting up and going to work to going out on Friday evening. (Friday would probably be the ideal day to photograph) oh yea, I'm really excited about this one!

im taking pictures of "Free Comic Book Day" this Saturday. I'm shooting for CBR and Anime News Network, and I'm seeing tons of my friends that day so it should be super fun. My typical weekend involves much comic book geekery and itd be fun to share it =)

Beawhiz - got your envelope today! Nice pics. They took me back in time to my high school years. I spent 1960-1970 in the san Fernando valley and recognized many of the pics from our trips into LA to see my sister who went to nursing school somewhere downtown. I especially enjoyed the classroom photo as I had substituted for special ed classes in Merced County before I moved to Oregon. It really is a small world - and there are many connections between all of us. Thanks for sharing part od your world with me. Starwatcher

I loved this swap! It was so fun to catch a glimpse of everyone's lives. The way my partners put their books together really reflected their personalities and the pictures were so descriptive! Definitely a swap I'd like to do again, but maybe with a new twist to keep things exciting.
