Under the Covers CD Swap

Hi there: I'm a new swapper and am curious: should the 3 cds be of the same mix or can they be different mixes of covers? Thanks.

They can be the same mix, since you're sending them to three different people.

hey nanette; i'd like to sign up for this, but i'm going away between july 17th & 31st. however, i can make the three mix cd's now & have them ready to mail, and then get the addresses on july 31st/aug 1st (not sure when exactly i'll be home) and send them in the mail immediately (so they'll only be a day or two late). would that be ok? i have lots of ideas for my mix :)

Do we get brownie points for CD art? :)

I say make CD Art if you really want to ... hopefully the mix warrants it. I have received mix CDs that look fabulous but contain songs that sound like doo-doo, and also nondescript CD-Rs with a simple tracklist on a piece of paper ... filled with songs that ROCKED. It's hard to say.

Anyone opposed to receiving an mp3 CD vs. an audio file CD?

smaller (mp3) files=more songs on CD! :)

Boo hoo - I burned my CDs last night and I must have done something wrong cause when I tried them in my stereo they didn't play. And they didn't play in my computer either.

Rats! Back to the drawing board to try and work out what happened. And I thought burning CDs was going to be easy peasy :-(

pretty sure. I'm use iTunes and I'm to convert tracks using Advanced > Convert selection to mp3 option. Alternatively, the program you use to burn your CDs may give you the option between an audio CD and a data/mp3 CD.

I've discovered that three of them play on my compter and on my CD walkman. Friends suggest my stereos are too old to cope with CD-Rs which is why they're not playing there.

I'm hoping that's right but if not I figure my swap partners can tell me they can't play the CDs and I'll send them new ones (by then I'll have it all figured out!)

Would like to rate my person's who swapped with me... Can't figure out how to get it to show up is there a glitch going on? I loved my CD's! Jill sent a really great artfully created cd collection as well as the packaging!!!!

the rating link doesn't show up until a while after the swap ends (after the date by which items must be sent). keep checking back. the link will eventually show up in the yellow box at the top of the page.
