Description:

I thought it might be fun for us to look at different holidays and their symbols. If there is enough interest, I will continue on, try for one a month. If you can think of any holidays or symbols that we could cover, please send me a PM - OR - CHECK OUT THIS FORUM THREAD and add ideas. :)

So, for this International swap, you will have 1 partner. Look up information about Easter/Passover, the Easter bunny, or April Fools Day(an internet search is fine, and you can even use Wikipedia - this isn't school), and prepare something for your partner.
When I looked up holidays and observations for April 2022, I got holidays related to Easter or Passover. If I missed something and you would like to suggest an alternative, please send me a message. (For future swap themes, check the forum and list any that I'm missing - I know I'm missing things, I'm just not sure what everyone else is into or celebrates!) For Easter, you can look at the religious aspects or the secular customs - your choice. Wait, what 'something'? Yes! The swap you send your partner can be:

a typed or handwritten letter with what you found (with or without included images)

an art journal style page with facts and images (collaged, hand drawn - whatever! Go for it!)

a booklet, folder or zine with information for your partner and graphics

What else? I'm not sure. I'm not a crafty person! But I'm sure some of you are, and I think this could be a fun, open-option chance to learn and share. :)

Be sure to include the swap name and your SB ID!

Be sure to send on time! This is not a partner or profile specific swap, so you can certainly start on it when you sign up or put it on your watch list - just be sure you send on time. (Sending on time is a requirement for this group - if you are a chronic late sender or often forget to send on time, this isn't the group for you.)

Be sure you package it well and include the right amount of postage! Postage rules are changing, so if you are sending something a little thicker or oddly shaped, check with the post office to ensure you have the right postage. IF you are sending outside your country, some larger envelopes are now requiring customs forms. Just to make our life more fun! ;)

And, most importantly, make something for your partner that you would like to receive, that you are happy with and proud of. If you attempt an art-work and it's not working out, remember you can ALWAYS send the information in a letter form instead!

As long as there is interest in this type of swap and the feedback is going well, I'm more than happy to make this a very open to interpretation type of regular swap.
However, it will remain a type 2 swap, even if you send artwork, as the minimum requirement for the swap is a typed or handwritten sheet including facts about the topic, mailed on time, with the swap name and your SB ID. That may be all you get in return for artwork - if you're not ok with that, then this might not be the swap for you.

IF you have ANY questions or comments please send me a PM and remember to check out the forum and list other holidays and ideas.

Seriously, WHAT is up with the creepy & scary Easter bunnies? I mean - holy cats! No wonder kids have such nightmares! I tried to avoid the truly scary & creepy bunnies, and those with children in the picture, but - wow, there is some nightmare fuel there!
