Description:

If you're like me, you love to get letters in your mailbox... But the envelope is just as exciting to me as the letter is!

For this swap, you will send a little Mail Art love to one partner, and we're going to focus more on the envelope than what's inside. The contents you enclose can be sender's choice but it's always nice to receive something you know your partner will like. Please be sure to look at their profile to see their likes and dislikes.

Now, on to the envelope... Be creative! Decorate it however you'd like, but really put forth some effort. Do not just slap on a couple stickers or washi tape on it. You can draw, paint, stamp, paste... Pick a theme, or be totally random. The possibilities are endless! And don't feel intimidated... This is for beginners, after all! :)

Quick question because I got an international partner -- does fully covering the envelope make them non-machinable? How much more postage should I include for a 1oz letter/flat mail in addition to an international stamp? Thanks!

@HausOflmps I usually will wrap my decorated envelope with a clear cellophane bag or wax paper. This will help to prevent your decorated envelope from getting damaged in the mail. As for additional postage it’s best to check the usps website for postage calculations and rates. I have a postage scale I use as well as the usps website. I hope this helps you.
