Description: | |
This will be our first flip book swap. You will make one flip book from 3 envelopes for your partner, in any theme you like. It can be shabby chic, grunge, vintage, whatever. But make sure it is something you would enjoy receiving! If you've never made one before, this is the time to start! They are fun to make & to send to penpals. There are many YouTube videos that show how to make them, but I will provide one for you just so you can see how to put a 3-envelope flip book together, & also an idea of how to decorate it. But you do you; decorate in your style, not someone else's! Try to keep it flattish when adding decorations & items for those envelope pockets, but you may get some ideas from the videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsEx-QUAIRU&list=PLRD4aSdmir1k90qk9kSWy8dy76B9BTN5g&index=3 Just to see how one has been decorated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AD9yXjOAhI&list=PLRD4aSdmir1k90qk9kSWy8dy76B9BTN5g&index=28 To create your flip book, these are the requirements: 3 envelopes (white, Kraft, or other color -- your choice); Each envelope must be C6, or 4-1/2"x6-3/8", or 114mmx162mm (you can go bigger, but not smaller!); Your choice of paper, but make sure it is pretty & clean; Fill each of the 3 envelopes with flat goodies for your partner; Add one or 2 pockets or tuck spots & maybe a belly band to your flip book. And, finally, make one tag, about 5-1/2" tall, to go into a pocket or belly band. I know you will enjoy making this flip book. If this is succesful as a swap, we will do it again. So, one flip book, one tag. Doesn't that sound like fun! You will have plenty of time to work on this swap, so you can take your time -- & enjoy the process! See you in the mailbox! |
