Are there any Art fans out there?? Last year I took part in a few art themed swaps from @rexlexwrites but she stopped swapping last year. This swap is not exactly the same but it is for those of us who like to admire art and enjoy going to museums. Local art shows and artists also count! The definition of artist means a person who creates paintings, drawings or sculptures as a profession or a hobby. So take a moment to think about who you admire as an artist. Remember it can be anyone from Van Gogh to a lesser known person who lives in your area and is just starting out. The point of this swap will be to tell our swap partners a little bit about the artist, show some examples and put togther a swap that illustrates what kind of art this person makes. In putting the swap together there are 2 options listed below.. Pick only one. Option 1 * postcards, museum brochures/flyers , computer print outs (these are allowed )that show your partner examples of the artist’s art. Visual items. Write a brief note about why you like the artist. Add one goodie to the swap, profile based for your partner (teabag, a few stickers etc.) Option 2 * a written letter about the artist. At least 2 A4’s long. For example you can write about their background, contemporaries, scholing etc. But please include at least 2 examples of their work. You can cut and paste and add the pictures to your letter. Add one goodie to the swap, profile based for your partner (teabag, a few stickers etc.) As usual please write the swap name and your name somewhere on or in the decorated envelope. Note also which option. If there are any questions or problems please message me. Happy swapping! |
