I keep seeing "no drama" in swap descriptions - like that will help? But really, sometimes it's good to share some drama. It's good to hear that someone else is having a similar problem to you, or just to give someone a little bit of a sounding board. I recently saw that someone is hosting a 'tell me your drama' swap publicly, and I thought, why not give it our own spin? This will be a flat mail swap, just a letter, and International. You will have 1 partner. (If your country is restricting mail, and you would rather do this as an Email swap, please let me know! I don't mind doing both, if anyone is interested.) This can just be a letter/ 1 stamp swap. So, in a letter to your partner, talk about your worst swap experience. This doesn't have to be on swap-bot, maybe you had a really bad swap experience on another site and that brought you to swap-bot. Or it was here on swap-bot and now you hesitate before joining a certain type of swap or by certain hosts. You do NOT need to name names - if you just want to say 'grumpy swapper' that's fine. Avoid name calling or cursing if you can, but if you are just feeling emotional, we'll understand. Some things to add - what was the swap? How long ago was this? Was it ever angled or made up? Has it kept you from certain swaps? Aim for at least one full page (A4/ 8.5x11), typed or handwritten, decorated or not - just express yourself! :) Get out some of the frustration. :) |
