We've been busy having fun making sewing cards! Come join us! Great for kids 3-6 years old, If your child is younger or older, or if you are a child at heart, feel free to join up too, if interested! Take a piece of sturdy card stock or recycled foodstuffs box. Cut into a fun St. Patty's day themed shape and decorate. Shapes include but not limited to-Shamrocks or four-leaf clovers, Horseshoes, Rainbows, Pots 'O Gold, Blarney stones... Use crayons, pens, pencils, glitter, stickers, recycled card pictures, collage, whatever your little artist wants! Using a hole punch, punch holes all along the edges leaving enough room from the edge as not to tear it when sewing. Cut enough yarn to fit all the way around and tie in a double bow. Wrap the tip of yarn you are 'sewing' with, with a piece of tape to make it firm and easy to poke thru the holes. Cut, decorate, sew, package, ship. Bring a smile to a child's face! Let's make 2 cards, one for each partner. Swappers with 5 completed/rated swaps welcome. No recent or unexplained no-sends. I reserve the right to ban. Come join the fun! Be my guest! Become a swap friend! Please don't join if you can't send. I don't want any tears or frowns! I will angel if someone has the misfortune of getting flaked. Optional: List your child's favorite colors/gender below as a guide for your partners. Though this is a 'maker's choice' swap, your little artist might want some ideas to fuel their creativity. Have fun! |
