Regional: USA/Canada Look through any magazines, catalogs, etc and find a nice picture that will fit on a postcard. This is not a collage, it's one picture that you find that's about the size of a postcard. Cut-n-paste the picture onto a piece of postcard-weight cardboard/cardstock. I like to cut out a 4x6' hole in a piece of larger cardboard, then use the frame as a guide, framing the magazine image to see if it's suitable. One postcard, one partner. Send the postcard with a short note on the back. I like to write where I got the cut-out picture from (as well as a short greeting). Include your swap-bot ID and the name of the swap on the postcard. --------------------------Important administration stuff: Nudge I send out nudge 'please rate' messages around the one month mark after everyone has mailed their cards. Please, no serial nudging, it makes my hosting job harder and it may mean a ban from my future swaps. Rate quickly so it doesn't end up forgotten in a pile of postcards. If you haven't received a postcard around the 6-week mark, let me know. Blank comments When rating please comment on the card received. Let's make our partners feel like their postcard matters. So please, no blank comments. Example of what you could write: Thank you for {describe the item}...Thank you for the Van Gogh sunflower postcard. Finished I check to see that everyone is rated and will add a "Finished" stamp to the Discussion section when all postcards are sent, received and rated. New members Must be an active swap-bot member for more than 6 months with at least 10 type 2s and 3s. New members who do not qualify can contact me about setting up a private swap. Contact me.
