Everyone loves a wishlist!!! Everyone who joins, please post a wishlist, no more than 10 items long. Place it in the comments section below. Anyone with a 4.5 rating and higher can join, but you must contact me if you have more than 1 no sends. If I see any of these, I will ban you from the swap. Sorry, but I HAVE to protect the good swappers out here. Newbies are welcome too. If you do not have feedback on SB, you must provide me with proof of feedback elsewhere. (Ebay, laundo, etc) But it must be feedback I can view without having to join a site. PLEASE NOTE THAT I WILL NOT BE A SWAP ANGEL FOR THIS SWAP. And please have a filled out profile. Because this is an international swap, I will put a 6 week span between partners given and deadline to send. Please make sure to give time to rate for this reason. PLEASE...make sure to include a note with the swap name and your swapbot user name so you can get rated!!!

If you have any comments or suggestions for this swap, please let me know in the comments below. They are always welcome if it makes things better.

Definition of a fat quarter is a piece of fabric that measures about 18"x21" or 18"x25". It is mainly used for quilting, but can be used for a variety of items. Like I just made a pillow for my mother-in-law using 2 Elvis fat quarters and a reversable purse for my mom using 2 Elvis fat quarters. I also have a small collection of smaller fat quarters that are 4"x4" for the Halloween quilt I am working on. To see more, go here www.serve.com/marbeth/fat_quarter.html

Friendship books are small booklets that are passed from person to person via snail mail. You put your info it, like address, likes, dislikes, etc etc. It can be used as an avenue to find a penpal or swap partner. More info here fbfun.com

================================================= DixieWitch's Wishlist: 10 used foreign stamps, anything Halloween, 1 Halloween fat quarter, 10 pieces of smaller card stock, 10 swap cards, nag champa incense, a postcard, new is fine, new bookmark, 3 teabags(would give a heart for Tazo Tea) notecards

================================================= Sample wishlist: used stamps, new stamps, postcards, ATCs, postcards, friendship books, card stock, incense, fat quarters, post-it notes, notecards, deco supplies, small rubber stamps, stationary, stickers, tea bags, bookmarks, candles, coupons, earrings, jewelry, magnets, gel pens etc etc

Discussion

kittenmeowmeow 04/10/2007 #

do you think you can raise the rating number for this swap? I'm tired of getting ripped off when i package a really nice package for someone and receive nothing. i feel uncomfortable swapping in a swap with such a low swap number. maybe 4.5 or something? what do you think?

debbi 04/10/2007 #

I would love to join this swap, also. But, I concur on raising the qualification to a 4.5. Thank you, Dixiewitch for considering this request

mutantpenguin 04/10/2007 #

I hate to say it but I've been burned on international swaps only because they take so long and sometimes are expensive to ship, especially using your list, teabags are sometimes prohibited overseas, a fat quarter (I don't sew but I presume that's fabric) can be heavy etc. And, to be honest, I agree with Debbi and kittenmeowmeow that the rating is low. IMHO.

Cloverst 04/11/2007 #

I see where you're coming from mutant pengi=uin but to be fair if people are worried about send ing tea abroad they don;t have to choose that off the list and a fat quarter is just a single small square of fabric, not very heavy at all.

I'll join as it's the first wishlist I'll have been in. Will post list later.

One thing I will say though is that when putting such a long time between end of sign up and sending you run a risk of people signing up and in the mean time leaving. But I'll risk it!

CajunLady 04/11/2007 #

Thanks for the comments. I don't mind them at all. I will change the rating though. And I will move the send date up. This is why I've asked for the comments!!!! I want to make sure I'm doing something right!!

CajunLady 04/11/2007 #

Let me know if the changes I have made are okay.

Cloverst 04/11/2007 #

looking good dixiewitch! back to post list when young uns are in bed!

kittenmeowmeow 04/11/2007 #

thanks for the changes! makes me feel safer! i'm still considering my wishlist. (want to see what other people say first to get some ideas. lol) i am definitely excited about this swap.

CajunLady 04/11/2007 #

kittenmeowmeow...as long as it's posted before partners are given it's okay. That's just the biggest thing for everyone to remember. Just make sure it's simple things...I didn't intend for this to be a list for huge items, like a tshirt or shoes, etc etc. Just simple items...I'll try to come up with an example list in addition to my own.

Keira In swapbot world you need to put two spaces at the end of every line to make it appear on the next line. You may find this useful:
