Description:

Hello fellow book lovers! It's back! I know there are lots of Book Cards out there waiting to come home. Let's get them moving again. So, dig out those cards, write your recommendations and let's get those cards moving!

This is Round 23 of the Traveling Book Card Swap. If you missed previous rounds, don't sweat it! You can join at any time.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME PARTICIPATING

Your first swap will be you setting up your postcard. You can do this in advance of being assigned a partner.

Find a postcard you like that is 4 x 6, or 107mm x 152mm. This allows the postcard to easily fit in a normal envelope, as well as not requiring additional postage.

On the back, address the postcard to yourself. At the top, post the swap (CL: Traveling Book Card), and your Swap Bot name. Then, draw pairs of lines on the message side of the card. Aim for 4-7 pairs of lines.

If you're confused, or you're like me and like to see examples, please visit the Traveling Book Card Information and FAQ.

Once your postcard is set up, pop it in an envelope. Once partners are assigned, send it off.

IF YOU'VE PARTICIPATED BEFORE

Take the postcard you received in the previous round, make sure you've put down a recommendation, and send it on to the next person.

Didn't receive a card yet? Start a new one! It's okay to have multiple cards going out, but only if you don't have a card to pass on.

When You Receive your Partner's Postcard

You will be filling out one of the sets of lines. The top line is a book you recommend and the author. If you need to, let it run to the second line. Then, the bottom line should be your Swap Bot name, and your location.

You can choose how you want to put your location in. You can choose your town, state/province, and country, or some combination of them. At the very least, include your country so we can see where the postcards are traveling to.

Again, if you're not sure what to do, there are visuals on the Traveling Book Card Information and FAQ.

Let's revive this and send some book recommendations to our fellow swappers!

Hey! I have cards for this swap from previous editions but I'm not located in the US, is there any chance this could be made international?

KSENiA 07/13/2020 #

So do I... Can you change it to international?

carol 07/22/2020 #

So sorry. I didn't see these in time to change it. I'll make the next one international. I've been dealing with stuff, like my AC, breaking down and a toilet overflowing. Oh, the joys of home ownership. I'll get one up today.
