I absolutely love my library, especially the giant one in downtown Vancouver with its green rooftop and massive selection of books. When I travel, my itinerary will always include a visit to a local library or the most popular independent bookstore. I would love to learn more about your library of choice. (I don't know if someone else already did a swap like this. I apologize in advance. I am new to the group.) WHAT YOU ARE SENDING One letter or notecard about your local library. It can be your favourite location or the one closest to home or the one you work at - up to you! I am simply interested in learning more about the library from you are from. The letter or notecard will include five observations or facts. For example, over the years, I've noticed the library closest to myself evolve to have more and more books in other languages such as French, Vietnamese, and Chinese. However, there's only so much shelf space and I can only read English so I have fewer and fewer selections to choose from. It's why I tend to go downtown or a different municipality but I totally appreciate how the library adjust and accommodates the neighbourhood. You will have two partners in this swap. NEWBIES While I understand the need to maintain the dignity of a swap and assure participants no one will flake, it's important to give people a chance to prove themselves. Newbies, to participate, you must have at least fifteen lines on your profile. I will check before assigning partners. Thank you. RATING AND REMINDERS To receive a 5 rating, you are sending a letter or note card with five facts or observations about a local library.
