Bible Journaling is taking another new twist and this one is super fun, compact, cheap, and WAY less intimidating than painting in that beautiful Bible! What is it? Faithdex Cards! A Little History Back in the day there was this thing called a Rolodex. They were mainly used in the business world to keep up with contacts numbers and address…And you can actually still buy them! Though I doubt many people use them for their intended purpose anymore. Memorydex Cards-Quite a few years ago Heidi Swapp came out with a new thing where people were using this same type system but used them to make memory cards, using pictures and things of that nature. Heidi Swapp's website has tons of information on this. And it was a dream come true for paper crafters everywhere. It is like scrapbooking in mini form! What is a Faithdex Card?-Memorydex is to scrapbooking what faithdex cards are to Bible journaling! It is that simple. It is another way to Bible journal but in a smaller and less intimidating way. It is totally no biggie if you mess up! You just trash the card and start over. This gives you the freedom to try new things without fear of messing up your Bible. And then you decorate to your heart’s content. Here is what I love about these little cards. First, while I am making my card, I am spending time with God. Second, I am writing and meditating on Scripture Third, I can take these cards out and post them around the house to help me memorize and meditate on Scripture even more! Are You Ready? Are you ready to try out your own card? So here's what we are going to do. This will be a monthly swap. So you will have roughly 25 days to complete this. I am hoping that it will arrive around the first/fifteenth of the month to offset the gloominess of all those bills we have to open. Each month beginning in April we will read & meditate on One Chapter of Proverbs, ie Proverbs 1, Proverbs 2, etc... We will take what we gleamed from that chapter (Proverbs 1) & create a snapshot ( yes, the Faith Dex Card) We will place the card in an envelope. We will add a flat surprise We will then seal & send the envelope.

**For March we are just getting to know each other*** I hope that this swap will get our creative journaling juices flowing & introduce us to one another... So for this swap I am asking you to create or purchase a faith dex card for each of your partners & place Your name on it. (It is my hope that when someone sees your name, they will say a little prayer for you). Please decorate the Faith Dex Card however you would like: make it silly, make it funny, or serious, hand-lettering, stickers, or computer generated even... just have fun with it. Secondly on the backside of the card place whatever new name you feel GOD has bestowed upon you , i.e. "beloved", "beautiful", etc. On a separate sheet of paper tell them the meaning behind your given name & your new name: include the chapter and verse of where you found your new identity... just have fun with it.

You will have about one month to get your cards together for (1) partner. Please don't forget to include your swap bot user id,swap info and date-mail on time.
