What is National Handwriting Day? It may seem like every other day is some obscure holiday (speaking of, January 23rd is also Measure Your Feet Day), but observing National Handwriting Day actually dates back to 1977. Coined by The Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association, the holiday falls on John Hancock’s birthday. Hancock is likely the most iconic scribe in US history, thanks to his famous signature on the Declaration of Independence. The Swap Fill the inside of a folded note card, handmade or store bought, with notes from your day. For example: What did you do? How did you feel when you wrote this? What's going on in your life? What are you cooking for dinner? Sender's choice regarding what you write. Please write by hand - print or cursive - no typing. I reserve the right to review profiles and remove any swapper I believe may cause drama during the swap. I will angel if needed, after you rate your partner a 1 and inform me. |
