Bucket List Postcard

Have to join this as I was just diagnosed with 3 auto immune diseases which are not curable. I have to start living my life more. :)

I am so sorry to hear about your auto immune diseases! I was watching the interview with Patrick Swayze the other day and he said something that I thought was so profound. He said he was not going to worry about how he was going to die - but how he was going to live! We can all take an example from that as we never know which day is our last! :)

Did you see that he's in the hospital tonight with pneumonia?

No I didn't! That's terrible! What a sad situation, He is so young!

I agree (Whiteway) with Patrick. I am not going to worry about how I am going to die because I am not afraid of dieing. I am going to worry about how I am going to live. I am a nurse by profession and have seen more death that I can count. I have been with people and families as they have died and as their loved ones have dies. In the last year my husband has almost died twice and is home oxygen dependent now. My mother is probably not going to make it throught this next year. Myself have chemotherapy and all that goes along with that as something I will deal with this year. However-that said--I will not let this disease get me and I will go down fighting and living my life. I thank you all for your thoughts but as another thoguht-live today as you were going to die tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! :)

ladyrn, you are in my thoughts. Sounds like you really are going through a lot so I'm sending good thougths your way. I lost my really good friend 2 weeks ago. She was only 35 with 2 little boys and a wonderful husband. We never know what will happen to us so we should never take life for granted.

Life is fragile. Live it now. Enjoy this breath. Ladyrn, you're in my thoughts. Cancer taught me a lot about priorities, and brought more brightness to every day. best wishes to you!

Thanks so much everyone for your thoughts. My mom did pass away this week. At least her suffering is over. Life is good, I agree with everyone--live it to the fullest. Everyone should live each day as it is our last. I know I'm going to. :)

Every day is a gift. Ladyrn you and your family are also in my prayers. I like this swap as it gives me an opportunity to really think about some things I would like to do before I die. Sometimes I get so caught up in day to day stresses that I forget we are only here for a limited time. Looking forward to thinking through and narrowing down to a list of three things...then I think it is time to work out how to make them happen...maybe the next swap can the same people and they we can send each other our plans to make the items on the list occur!

Boring as my List may be, my cards are done and waiting to be sent. I LOVE the movie and am so glad I found this swap in time to sign up! Since I'm still new here I don't know many of you yet, but my best wishes go out to all those above that are facing this swap with the actual challenge of a bucket list on their shoulders. I hope you all still have a long time and get to check off your entire list (so make it a long one!) HUGS!

I think they could be both - the focus is more on your bucket list than the postcard!
