Description:

I participated in a swap like this a few months back and really liked it so I thought I would host another round.

What you need to send -

The Kawaii part: *20 Kawaii loose memos. They can be 4x6 or the mini memos or a mix of the two. *10 Kawaii stickers. They can be the flake stickers or cut out from a larger sheet. *Something else Kawaii. It could be a pen, pencil, little pencil topper, stamper, etc. - just something else Kawaii that you didn't make.

The DIY part: *Something handmade. Spend a little time on this. You can make some cute felt creature, a little purse, bookmarks - you get the idea. The possibilities are endless. We have alot of talented people out there and I think it's always cool to add something handmade to your Kawaii collection.

Please look at your partners profile for ideas and have your own profile filled out. Nothing is more frustrating than getting a partner who has nothing on their profile.

The rules: This swap is international. You will have one partner to send to. Only swappers with ratings of 4.0 or higher will be allowed in and I will ban people at my discretion if things look dodgy. I would consider letting a newbie in on this one but I would need a complete filled out profile and some kind of references. But if you are a newbie and you don't contact me, expect to be banned. No one likes a flaker and I am going to do my best to make sure no one gets flaked on.

Kawaii: It means "cute" in Japanese. ie Sanrio, San-X, Q-Lia, Kamio, Lemon Co., Midori, etc.

i´m spanish, and still I do not understand very well the terms >_<, when you talk about "loose memos" you refer a separate papers of notebooks.

ellawitch 03/30/2007 #

yes, separate pieces of paper from memo pads.

I live in the US...pretty much in the middle of nowhere (Ohio) and I was just wondering if anybody knows of any good places to shop for kawaii stuff. I'd really love to join in on kawaii themed swaps, but I have trouble trying to find such items. If anybody has any suggestions of where to look for kawaii items here in Ohio (preferrably southern Ohio) that would be great! Thanks! ^_^

the only thing i could recommend is ebay. that's where i get alot of my kawaii stuff.

ellawitch-Thanks! I'm checking it out now. I didn't realize there was so much kawaii stuff on there before. ^_^

Lots of kawaii here. Also, no matter how much you buy, the shipping is always $5.

fyi - accidents has deleted her profile. it shows she sent her items but i find this doubtful. i am working on making sure everyone gets something and have contacted those people who are her partners....

Liseanne27 04/16/2007 #

Accidents was my partner in two other swaps, she never sent either time, so she didn't send anything for this swap either.

yeah i know, i got stung by her too in another swap. but don't worry! everything has been worked out and traffic rerouted so to speak!
