On October 1st, postcards are celebrating their 150th anniversary, and everyone is invited to the party!

Introduced in 1869 as a way of sending a simple message, postcards quickly evolved beyond their practical purpose to become the universal souvenir that brightens everyone's mailboxes.

For this swap, first, go and check out the website for this celebration of postcards (it's hosted/created by Postcrossing): 150 Years of Postcards.

Now to the swap details, postcard lovers!

For this swap, you'll be assigned ten (10) [yes, ten!!! It's a celebration of postcards, why not be extravagant] partners and you'll send them one (1) postcard each.

On the postcard, write about what postcards mean to you, why you like them, what makes them special!

The postcards can be handmade, ad, storebought, free, Zazzle, etc...just check your partners' profiles for their preferences first. Send to partners' preference (ie. with or without an envelope).

Open to swappers with a rating of 4.90 or higher. Newbies also welcome!

Have fun swapping...and go get posting!

Typhoon Lingling is hitting us right now. I'm going to be a couple days late sending my cards until the weather clears.

I didn't receive any postcards, but I think this because of China's ridiculous censorship laws. Thank you to all who sent me a card. I'm sorry I wasn't able to enjoy it. I'll do another swap when I move back to the US
