Funky Monster ATC Swap

Your "at least 2-3 elements" rule isn't very nice to people who do hand drawn ATCs.

I've seen some ATC swaps that say no "flat" ATCs and I'm sorta wondering why people don't want handrawn ones...

In general I'd rather have a hand drawn or hand panted card than a more scrapbooky one.

seems to me that they can be hand drawn. Just use two mediums, like pen and ink and watercolor, or Sharpies and colored pencils. I think travelgirl is just trying to assure that people put some effort into it.

This is a perfect swap for my 14yo son. Is it OK if he does the swap? I'll add in one of mine too so my partners will get two.

It just doesn't seem like the best way to ensure people spend time on it to me. I spend a lot more time on my straight pen and ink drawings than one might on a lot of things that would qualify. For instance, here: http://KatarinaNavane.deviantart.com/art/Artist-Trading-Cards-1-99516189

The bottom right and bottom center cards are straight pen drawing and would not meet this rule when I probably spent more time on those two than the rest on that page combined.

bottom right here, for instance. The rule just rules out a lot of cards that I like better. I may send multiple cards to each--as long as one for each person follows the rule i'm good, right? :P )

Thank you for all the great feedback, my goal was to insure that someone doesnt just send a plain card with a sticker or two slapped on it or one embellishment and a internet photo. I wanted everyone to use several elements and maybe think outside their own comfort zone and try something new or try adding something new to the same style they normally do. Straight pen/ink drawing are great and some people are uber talented but I really was looking for multiple elements. Feel free to send multiple ATC's if you feel that you want to.
