Description:

It is all in the title. I am encouraging my daughter to value handmade items over something mass produced. So I thought why not start a swap to see if there are others trying the same thing with their children. So the swap is make one item or a few small items valued between $10 and $20. It could be something for them to play with or something for their room. eg. stuffies, wall hanging, dolls, hats, jewelry the possibilities are endless. List sex and age of child and if they have any strong colour preferences and perhaps some suggestions. Must have a high rating as I want to limit the possibilities of flaking.I will try to angel but would rather it not be necessary. I am going to limit this to Canada/USA because of postage. If you live elsewhere contact me and perhaps we can arrange something privately.

I have a daughter who is 21/2 and loves bright colours. She enjoys make believe, dressing and undressing her dolls, animals, pirates, and helping Mommy make things in the studio or kitchen.

I would like someting for my 9 year old daughter. She likes fairy's and foxes, and giraffes. She loves stuffed animals, journals, scarves, and necklaces. She is a budding artist and loves to see other peolpe's work. Her name is India. Thank you.

Biff, How adorable is that! My daughter would just love that. She has a kitchen that she loves to play with that has wood food. She is always cooking for me and her doll.

I think I will join this one. My daughter is 3 years old. She loves girly things, and girly colors. She has a 16" bitty baby that she love to play with. likes dolls, suffies and playing dress up. She loves to help "momma" clean the house too.

I have a little girl 4 1/2 who loves to dance and sing. She loves to play dress-up and adores ANY kind of animal.

My daughter is named Lucy and she will be 2 in March. She likes dolls - loves dressing them up and putting them "ni-night". She also likes animals, play food, stuffies, toddler art projects, music, dressing up and running around like crazy. I have some more info in my profile about her or you can check out my blog for more ideas as she is a frequent subject. :D

My little boy is 2 and his obsession is letters, anything with letters on it will thrill him! Cats are good too. Pretty wide open on what exactly, if you make something wearable he is very big for his age - a 4T.

AmandaC 01/13/2009 #

I'm listed on my profile as childless BUT I joined this because I like kids & making things for them. Anything sent to me would be given to my great-nephews who are 2 years old. I am open to anything as they dont exhibit any particular preferences at this point. I'm guestimating sizes at 3T & 4t respectively -they will grow into anything if you chose to do something like altered clothing. I like the idea of anything being handmade. You cant add Love in a factory process :)
