Swap Value: $10 min before shipping. I know some will probably send handmade stuff that is hard to put a dollar value on, please use your judgement and just send a good package, one like you would want to receive.

Swap Ideas: Farm animal/barn notecards-Handstamped or purchased, apron, apron pattern, clothes pin bag, Farm Animal Fridge magnet, Buttons in Farm Animal Shapes, Ribbon in greens and browns, Rubber Stamps of Barn, cow, pig chicken, etc., Embroidered Tea Towel, Vintage lines with Embroidered Farm Animals, a daylily/Iris/daffodil bulb from your garden... ok, so these are a few ideas but you get the picture!

Feel free to comment about your farm and farm animals, and read your Partners profile to see if they have a favorite farm animal. Or contact me with any questions.

Please remember the golden rule of swapping, "Send only what you would like to receive". And please only sign up if you plan to send a really nice package, there have just been to many flakes on Swap-bot lately and I would hate for one of my swappers to get burnt, swapping is only fun if everyone plays fair, thanks for understanding. :O)

Hi! I will start..I grew up on a farm so love just about all Farm Animals equally! Dear Hubby and I live on 3.27 acres with two donkies and a big Choc Lab, we plan to add or I should say I want to add Peacocks, a cow or some sheep too, DH isn't on board yet for all those additions but I am working on him!

I love to garden and can, hang my clothes on the line and dig in the dirt. I especially love Daylilies, always drooling over the new catalogs, and trying to score new bulbs everywhere!

I do work full time in the corporate world so I am really just a Farmgil at heart since I can't do it full time.

So, please tell us about your farm....and farm critters...

THIS SWAP SOUNDS SO FUN!!! I MIGHT JOIN YA. AFTER I FIGURE OUT MY BILLS. i live on a little farm but we dont have our own animals for now, we just garden and rent some of our field to one of the neighbors for their horses. I was raised in the city, and just relocated last year to live on my aunts farm, she is 87 and has been there for forty years.... I hope I can do this swap... I'll be back.

tangledthreads 03/20/2007 #

That would be great, look forward to seeing you back. simply sarah!!

We live on two acres of land, but don't really farm. We do have chickens and ducks though. Plus a yellow lab and two cats that let us live with them. LOL We have a small garden and lots of flowers. My favorite farm animals would be ducks, dogs and cats. One of these days when we don't have to work for a living :) we can settle down and have the little farm we would really like to have. I am looking forward to this swap.

Our home is on a 20 acre alfalfa field, we raise hay in the summer. (We also have regular jobs)lol. I have 3 horses and am expecting a new foal this early summer(I'm really excited about that), 2 dogs, and 3 cats. I'm hoping to add some laying hens to our 'farm' this spring. I also enjoy gardening. I especially like mixing veggies, herbs and flowers together in the garden. This swap will be fun!!

Wow, 20 acres is awesome! We want more land but I am so attached to your farmhouse and big red barn! Will be hard to sell it and move.

I too am looking forward to this swap but am surprised there are so few farmgirls on Swap-bot with so many crafty chicks around, I guess they are just City Crafters!!

I meant to say "our" farmhouse....lol...not your farmhouse, I don't know though if I saw it I might be! lol

How fun! I just moved back to "the farm" last week. My husband and I bought a house with 7 acres. I grew up in the contry so the 8 years of city life was painful for me. We currently have 2 cats, and a yard full of dirt. Our project for the summer is to put in a lawn...i think this will take most of the summer. I love all animals but really want some "fainting" goats....maybe someday....hopefully soon.

In Texas everyone calls themselves a 'rancher'. I am really more of a farmer myself. I have kept raised and bred Nubian dairy goats for 35 years. I am also a cheesemaker and I make a lot of yogurt too. I have alot of hens right now I kinda went overboard on chicks this year. I have had those 'silky' batams for serveral years and they are brooders and hatch chicks all the time.I have some Arucana..lay green, blue, pink eggs..hens and some Red Star hens. I love horses and have kept, bred and trained horses in the past.I like to garden and can what I grow and I do some drying too. Never a dull moment around here! I just love the farm life and won't want to be any thing else.

I love chickens, they are just so darn cute! Sounds like you have a variety...I am wanting some chickens, DH just has not made me a coop yet, so have not gotten any. Around here we have to worry about harks getting them, so I can;t let them run free..

I too love the country....apartment life is not for me!!
