Description: | |
Do you have a couple of things in your stash that seem a bit strange? Maybe a card that has a three headed lady on it, or a set of stickers where the character looks a bit crazed. Maybe you’ve got an advertisement that’s been translated and it… well let’s just say it seems more like random beat poetry than an advertisement. Maybe a postcard from an artist stretches your reality with a picture that shows you something profound, or random or somehow unconventional. Maybe there’s a card with a medical diagram of someone’s insides. Maybe you’ve got a picture of an egg with legs, or a football that has sprouted antlers. Maybe you’ve found a mythical creature looks like it's going to suck out your soul. Or maybe there’s some ephemera that makes you think - huh - that seems odd. If so, this is the swap for you! If you see something and think it’s peculiar, strange, weird, unusual, exceptional, quirky or sinister that’s what we’re looking for. We’re looking for anything that’s a curiosity, a bit creepy, not terribly common, certainly abnormal. For this swap, we will take five (5) odd things and put them in an envelope to send it to one another. You may consider ephemera, stickers, postcards, magazine cutouts, bits of paper, cards and whatever you can think of. You can make something if you like, but please make sure that what you send is something you’d like to receive. There’s no need to check out someone’s profile unless you want to. This is YOUR definition of odd/creepy/strange/weird/quirky. Newbies with a filled out profile and a sincere interest in being a part of this swap are welcome. If you have no profile, I won’t hesitate to ban you. This IS an international swap so be aware that you may need to pay for international postage and be patient with the time it can take to send and receive things. The flip side of that is, you also might get something super cool from another part of the world. I’ve done a couple of swaps here, but I’m a relative newbie at leading swaps. Please be kind, communicative and patient. This is supposed to be fun. Comments/questions/thoughts always welcome. I will angel if needed (but please don’t force me to). Most of fall, HAVE FUN!!! |
