PRIDE Flag ATC

While the "official" Pride season is coming to a close, I'm in the camp of thinking that celebrating Pride year-round is an act of self love and care in these shaky times. Gilbert Baker and a group of 30 volunteers hand-dyed and stitched the first two flags that were raised during the 1979 San Francisco Pride. While the flag has undergone revisions from the original 8 colors, each with a symbolic meaning, to the six color flag we most commonly recognize today, the Pride flag has become an important cultural icon for the LGBTQIA+ Community.

So lets celebrate our unity and Pride with Pride flag themed ATCs! Get out your prettiest papers, markers, colored pencils, paints, collage materials, (maybe, just maybe, some well adhered glitter) and create 1 Pride flag themed ATC for your partner.

This can be the rainbow flag we all know and love, or if you would like to show your particular identity (Ex. Transgender, Bisexual, Intersex, Genderqueer, etc.) pride feel free to artistically represent that!

Next, include a small note to your partner. Write a bit about yourself and what Pride means to you. Did you celebrate Pride this year? How long have you been out/are you still closeted? What makes you the most proud of the LGBTQIA+ Community?

This is an international swap since Pride is celebrated world-wide. However, be discrete with your packaging/envelopes as to not unwittingly out your partner.

This swap is newbie friendly, but I reserve the right to remove anyone as I see fit to keep my swap safe. This swap is open to all members of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as allies as long as you are respectful. I will not tolerate any harassment or hate!
