Description:

Everyone has old printed papers, old book pages, old magazines and old newspapers that get thrown out everyday. Sometimes if we take a second look, the printed word can actually morph into something beautiful!

Tangle on an old printed page and mount it onto an ATC and send it to your partner in an envelope.

Please check that you have read the details as the requirements for each swap in the series may vary.

This is a sender's choice swap, but please avoid religious/controversial themes. This is a type 3, International swap with a minimum rating of 4.99 and above. For interested swappers with less than 4.99, do leave me a private message for consideration.

I will angel if necessary.

The Details:

  • One partner, one ATC

  • Select from your choice of old papers, old book pages, newspapers etc, the older the better! Magazines are also possible, but do note that they might be harder to tangle on if they are too smooth and colourful.

  • Please choose at least 3 tangles from known or published tangle patterns. [ I hate to have to be so exacting in my requirements, but of late, I have received some very sloppy work in this swap series. If you have any questions about what Zentangle is, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU SEND. ]

  • You may choose to buy or create your own ATC from your favourite art paper, bristol board, strathmore cold press, etc., just ensure your ZIA ATC is thick enough.

  • You may choose to include a sleeve for the ZIA ATC, but it is not a requirement.

  • You may choose to use shading, glitter, fabric and colours in your ZIA ATC but it is not a requirement. Only the old printed paper (your choice) is a must.

  • Include a note containing: A. your SB moniker, B. swap name, C. a few lines to share with your partner, and D. quick list of tangles used in your ZIA ATC.

  • Send your ZIA ATC and note in an envie.

  • Rate your partner when you receive a ZIA ATC with a note that includes A. B. C. & D.

I originally signed up in ‘09...I had 5 except once and you can read my responses. I have a Masters in Library Science and Technology so I have a ridiculous amount of old books, sheet music and old library catalog cards.

I’m new to this so I have no idea how this all works. When and how do I get to hear who to send my card to?

hesedetang 06/16/2018 #

I have replied all PMs -- we are waiting 12h for our last participants to correct their issues.

If you are watching and want to join please do so in the next 12h. Thank you.
