Group 2 PLEASE NOTE THIS SWAP REQUIRES TRACKING EVERY TIME. This is a round robin, junk journal swap. Trash to treasure is the theme. Here is the idea. Gather one journal (new or previously used one is fine), and one 6x9 manila envelope. Not a padded envelope. Fill it, but dont stuff it. Fill it with items that you do not want. Items you are not sure how to use in your art, but you have still saved it. It really should not be trash. No food, seeds, bio hazard, or perishable items. No leaves, bark, or feathers found on the ground or shells. What you can include is ephemera, food labels, old calendar images, a few stickers, stamped images, magazine cut outs, punched images, die cuts, postcards, yarn, ribbon, fibers, recipe cards, coffee sleeves. ***** Insert your cool idea here***** In this round robin journal swap, your partners will pull 3 items minimum from this trash and make something of a treasure for you. 2 pages minimum. Your partners may add stuff to another envelope to the back of your journal to give to you, but may not add stuff into the 6x9 envelope that you started. Please have a sign in sheet, and please folks SIGN in, and sign and date your pages. On the sign in sheet allow a place for the partners to list which items they used on their page. This swap is limited to the first 4-5 players in good standing in this group. Now wrap your head around how a round robin works. Image all 4-5 of us are in one room sitting at a table, working on a journals together. Yeah how fun. But alas, the plane fare is too costly, so we cant all get together. IF we were in the same room, and I was sitting next to Sally on Beth, then Sally passes the journal she was working on to me, and I work on it and pass it to Beth. Beth would pass it to whomever she is sitting next to, and eventually Sally gets her journal back, and so do we all. So each time you get a journal, after working on it you will mail to the same person. You can rate your sender as soon as you get your first journal, or you can wait til you get your journal back. You are committing to working on all 6 players journals. You need at least 25 items in your trash to treasure envelope. Give a variety. Please only take out things you will use on the page. Do not take items to keep for yourself. If you really love something ask the journal sender if they have more of said item and arrange a private swap. One more thing, Please each round send a small gift to your partner to keep, as a thank you. So maybe you send them some ephemera with the first journal, yarn with your second, a note card used or new, with your third, etc. Lost? Here is a list a 6x9 envelope with trash to treasure items minimum 25 a journal with your return address and email, and swapbot nickname, include a sign in sheet in front that includes a place for the partners to list which items they used. Include another envelope taped to back cover for the 4-5 partners to add a freebie to send to you. a small journal-like gift to your partner for each round. a note clearly noting which swap this journal is being sent for To insure the safely of our journals.
